I think *soldiers off the street* deserve every penny they get.
Anyone who fights for their country is worth there weight in gold. :)

Yeah, 2000 pounds is still no small sum, and as you say, everything helps.

Ha! I actually have tons of flesh-colored earplugs. I’m in the habit of bringing them to school dances. :D

Weve raised just over 2 grand.Was expecting more tbh.

Especially in the cities, there are places that are really down and out and others where you can’t even tell there’s a recession…

How are you trying to raise the money? Sometimes if you offer some small token (ludicrously priced cupcakes, a certificate, etc.) people buy in more.

It’s also good because it means my mom has company other than me, so she’s happier too.

My mom’s at it again, unfortunately… she wants me to get out more, and somehow yesterday that escalated into a thesis that I’m horrible. She yelled at me for a while, went to the gym, took me to the store with her and yelled at a little kid who was putting his hand in the bulk foods… then yelled at me some more. As we were pulling up into our house I got tired of it, opened the car door, and went for a walk. She’s not speaking to me now, which I kind of prefer.

Dad’s off working again and she’s threatening to send me to Eastern Oregon to be with him… :/

I may get shot for saying this but ” I dont think all trolls are bad, infact some can lighten the mood” (depending on how they react)

I can only imagine what it takes to be a parent :(. Kids (myself included) have a tendency to not be especially grateful… If any of your kids are my age I’d be happy to give you insight into how we tend to think.

But in the state she’s in, she’s *impervious* to logic. She won’t even talk to me (or my dad, for that matter)

Right now, I have to get her to sign this one form, so I can go to the same school next year. So far she hasn’t been willing.

I am disgusted that she’d think of throwing my education away over something like this.

I moved to a new state, so life has been… different. I’m going to a small high school and the people are great. My cross-country team got to go to state, I got confirmed at my church, and I have finals the week after this upcoming one.
