It looks like you have a Trojan or something because your viruses keep coming back.
Go to http://forums.techguy.org/ and post your problems there (start a new post) and someone ill assist you. These guys at techguy.org are excellent, they will give you instructions (it will be two-three interactions) to clean out your computer completely.

WinXP automatic updates is a huge PROBLEM. I would suggest turning it off and never updating it and instead relying on a 3rd party anti-spyware and firewall application (think AVG Antivirus and ZoneAlarm for two excellent free software choices).
Thesame thing happened to me when I selected and allowed automatic updates, everything stopped working - all my peripheral drivers were corrupted - and finally I had to reformat my hard drive and re-install everything again. Now I have Windows automatic updates turned off and the reminder is a nuisance but it is better than having to go thru a nightmare once again.

There is a book by Trachtenberg called Trachtenberg’s Speed System of Basic Mathematics.
He was an engineer imprisoned by the Nazis and he developed this complete set of rules to do math without using paper and pencil and without knowing multiplication tables while in jail.
I studied the system as a hobby when in school many years ago. The rules are all based on mathemtical logic (explained in the book) and the whole system is awesome.
The book is very old (1960s) so not available in stores but I have seeen it in Amazon. I strongly recommend all children (American children are so poor in Math) make it compulsory reading to improve mental arithmetic skills.

The HD might be partitioned. Go to Windows Explorer (or My Computer) and see if there is another drive of about 40GB. It should be drive D:, most likely
If you do have a partition other than C:, you can reduce its size to almost nothing (and therefore increase the size of your 120GB partition C: by going to Control Panel >> Administrative Tools >> Computer Management >> Disk Management and adjusting over there. Be careful, though. If you are not very computer savvy, I suggest you seek help otherwise you could lose all the data and software on your 120GB partition.
