2010-10-18 10:33:28 on May I please die now?
Actually our society’s laws and norms are based on christian ideas. You are right, this is due to the fact that the majority of the western world were christians in some form or another. I’m not in anyway saying I want to go around killing. I am completely opposed to the deliberate killing of any living being, spiders excepted. I believe in equality amongst all beings. Not necessarily that we should have a lion for a primeminister but I don’t think the life a fly is any less valuable than the life of human.
I like the way you think. Especially the part about spiders. :D
Morals are nothing more than accepted behavioral norms. I like what LaVey said on the subject best: “Good is what you like, evil, is what you don’t like.”
So then the question becomes: Why don’t more of us like killing each other, and why don’t more of us choose not to become parents? I think the answers to that lie purely in our psychology. We are naturally a social species. Preserving our own is in our DNA. Reproduction is the goal of all life, so it only follows that we would want to do that.
So to answer your original question:
what do you think; you’re brought into this world knowing that your existence is temporary and you soon find out how hard life is. Tell me, is it immoral to bring life into the world with the knowledge that life is ultimately doomed and you must suffer until you can finally die or do the “good things” out weigh the hardships and if you’ll die anyway - what’s the point, what are you achieving?
Only you can answer that question for yourself. Do you think what “good things” you’ve experienced have outweighed the negative, or no? Do you ever want to be a mother? If so, do you have doubts about it, and why?
2010-10-18 00:27:18 on so I’m looking around for some problems i can give advice on but no good ones are coming up.

My opinion, (and all it is is my opinion); based on the information that you’ve given, is that you can do better. Ignore her. Let her be unhappy, if that’s what she is. If she really loves you, she’ll come back. The apt phrases here are: “She made her own bed, now she has to lie in it”, and “If you love something, set it free. If it comes back, it’s yours. If it doesn’t, it never was.”
Even if she really loves you, and she truly did just meet this guy after your fight, her behavior has not been the behavior of someone in love and seeking a genuine, committed relationship.
Definitions of “topical” on the Web:

* of or relating to or arranged by topics; “a detailed record on both a chronological and a topical basis”
* of interest at the present time; “a topical reference”; “a topical and timely study of civil liberty”

* In medicine, a topical medication is applied to body surfaces such as the skin or mucous membranes such as the vagina, anus, throat, eyes and ears.

Do hash browns have any beneficial properties, if you rub them into your skin? :D
sorry im a noob and very cofused tring to figure this stuff out. but there is a girl ive been dating for almost 3 years and we talked about getting married next may. we had a bad fight and she left with out talking about it. i barly got her to talk to me at all and she didnt want to talk about it. its been ab 3 weeks and we talked on and off but not realy about our problems. now she meat some guy online who she been talking to all this time during our problems. i belive that he talked her into leaving me and convinced her im a horable person. but its not true.
In order for her to believe it when someone else tells her that you’re horrible, she has to have had some inclination to think that herself. I’m not saying that you’re bad; but if she genuinely loved you, it would be difficult for anyone to convince her that you’re a horrible person.
[qoute] so he bought her a plane ticket and now they are married. like i said its only been 3 weeks and she barly talk to me about it. talked to her today and she said that she still loves me and dont love him but she wants to move on. how can you marry somone so fast w/o even tring to work out problems with the one you love. i can go more into detail if any questions but should i leave her be? i think she just doing this to try and forget our problems and now making life dissions on a whim
Is it possible that she knew this guy before your fight? That would make her sudden departure more understandable. Regardless, if she actually loved you she wouldn’t have married someone else just a few weeks after leaving you.
I say let her ferment in her own juices a while. If she doesn’t come back to you on her own, find someone who would. :)

2010-10-17 23:16:56 on How to get rid of warts on the penile shaft?
Genital warts are not something you can treat with an over-the-counter medicine. A doctor can prescribe something that will help you.
2010-10-17 23:15:16 on Me and my wife can’t stop fighting.
Can you get a job and find your own place?
Two people enter into a relationship because they’re happier together than they would be separately. When that ceases to be true, and there’s no clear way to change it, why stay together?
Lots of guys pay child support. I wouldn’t let that keep you in a house where you obviously don’t feel wanted.
