2010-10-17 15:57:37 on Have you ever wanted to learn more about a subject that you don’t have to know for school or work?
If you never wanted to know more about anything at all but what your school tells you to, you’d be a very dull person. ;)

2010-10-16 17:21:03 on how do i download youtube videos to my computer
The one Thep recommended looks great! I’ve got to read more about it. :D
What I’ve been doing:
Get Firefox and get the ‘Download Helper’ add-on. Once it’s installed, you just go to Youtube, click on the ‘Download Helper’ icon that will be spinning near the top of your screen, click the type of file you want it to download from its’ drop-down list, and that’s it. ;)
2010-10-16 15:19:30 on how could i put on a whole kg from a meal?
Firstly, if you haven’t used the restroom, every bit of it is still in your digestive tract. Secondly, you have to account for whatever you drank, too. :)

2010-10-16 04:20:55 on Odd question incoming!
i think some people hate popular stuff because it makes them feel like they’re above the masses. but really, they’re no better then those who only like things because of its popularity.
Most people like popular things because they have a psychological need to ‘fit in’, to be like their peers, and a fear of being different. ;) It’s human nature. It’s why we have ‘fashion’. Most people want to be part of the ‘in’ crowd.
you have to ignore all that and just look at something for what it is. if it appeals to you, it appeals to you. who cares what anyone else thinks? if it’s the most popular common thing in the world or the most unheard of… i mean big deal!
The vast majority of popular music, fashion, cars, movies, etc. got that way because of peoples’ need to be like their friends, or what the media tells them they should like. Anyone looking at something purely for “what it is” has to reject all of that.
As to “who cares what anyone else thinks, obviously you do, or you wouldn’t listen to Green Day. lol
i like green day and naruto but i also like smile.dk and kuroshitsuji. weather or not everyone else likes that stuff or knows about it is completely irrevant.
Anime and manga have been crazily popular since the 80’s. Nothing exceptionally free-thinking there.

btw, i wasn’t trying to bash type o. i took graphic design so i’m trained to see images as marketing tools and that one isn’t the most effective for getting the most sales, which is generaly the goal. so, i appalogize if i offended in any way! if you don’t want the most sales just sales to certian people, then it’s probably great. i don’t know, i’m not in the demographic they’re marketing to, lolz.
When all else fails, defer to your education as evidence that your opinion is more valid than whoever you’re debating against. I took three years of college level art, myself. The thing about design is that it is purely subjective. Beauty truly is in the eye of the beholder. I find the album cover that I linked to bold, daring, striking, and unique. I like it, flat out. The mere fact that anyone who likes Green Day is likely t be put off by it only makes it MORE appealing.
Therefore your entire argument is invalid, because you are neither in, nor capable of looking at the subject from the perspective of, the group it was marketed toward.
Of course I admit the same thing in relation to myself and any mainstream band, and I wouldn’t want it any other way. ;D

2010-10-15 18:08:38 on Where can I find a job with no need for a car with just a GED as an 18 year old?
Thank you for answering. Will the Pell Grant pay all of my education expenses and I will not be required to pay back? Even if yes, it will not substitute any additional income I would be making with a job. As for your second sentence, I live in the middle of nowhere, with a distance of 5 miles away from a small town of 370, which is completely black (I am white), and has one tiny store.
Being a grant, no you don’t have to pay it back. You just have to keep your grades at a ‘C’ or above. :) If you can get to a college, find their offices and ask who you need to see for help applying for a Pell grant. They’ll walk you through filling out the paperwork. When it clears, the college gets their fees, and at the end of the semester you get a check for whatever is left, assuming you kept your grades at a “C” or better. (For my first two years, I was getting close to $1500 at the end of each semester, but your school may charge more and leave you less, I don’t know.)
As far as your distance from any town, your best bet is to find someone to give you a ride.

I knew someone years ago who tried. He aimed too far forward and shot out his left eye, but lived. I never saw him after that, so I don’t know how he felt about it. Grateful to have another chance and struck by the irony, I hope.

You will probably be about as tall as your father or grandfather. Apparently, the exact time you’ll hit your ‘growth spurt’ varies from person to person.
