• Does anyone believe in religion nowadays?
  

  I am not cynical towards religious people :]
  There are some who are very anti-me simply because I am atheist there for closed minded and arrogant =/
  
  Yes most of them are very nice people….
  
  But what for…?
  
  Should we live for good morals and values because of the promise of a non-torturous afterlife? Or should we live for good morals and values simply because its the right thing to do?

  People say “You know a life without religion is a life without beauty”
  
  I say “13.7 billion years ago a singularity rapidly began to expand forming matter time and space, gravity pulled particles together which swished and swirled and collapsed under their own weight to produce stars, stars attracted each other with their own gravity, pulling towards each other forming swirling matrices; Galaxies. In the center of the densest stars fusion caused atoms to collide into large atoms such as carbon, carbon made it to earth and formed complex organic molecules via acidic conditions of the early earth, recently rocked by an ancient collision from a planetoid which formed our moon, as molecules combined one strand of Amino acids was able to replicate itself from its surroundings, and thousands of years later, the still replicating substance has attained a surrounding membrane and a more complex form of its replicating code - DNA and thus the evolutionary cycle begins, the microbial inhabitants of the primordial soup expel fresh oxygen into the atmosphere giving us the air we breathe today. As more specialized cells emerge from mutations within some are better adapted to the environment and survive better than the others. Over millions of years thousands of such changes occur in the gene pool and eventually more complex forms of life requiring multiple and specialized cells emerge, constantly changing by the relative change of the organisms around them… Millions of years and these organisms are rapidly evolving via the process of natural selection, dinosaurs emerge, comet hits, dinosaurs die, mammals appear, monkeys appear, monkey go in trees, apes come out of trees, apes discover fire, tools, clothes tribes, society, and thus we have the human race! Yet its another 199,600 years of sentient advancement before finally we discover that if something happens several times under the same circumstances it is likely to happen again, and thus science is born! Only 400 years of science and we go from horses, swords, wells and castles to skyscrapers, space-shuttles, cellphones, refrigerators, TAPS, ELECTRONICS AND COMPUTERS! AS THE ONLY RECORDED SENTIENT BEING IN THE UNIVERSE IT IS OUR DESTINY TO TRAVEL AMONGST THE COSMOS AND DISCOVER THE WONDERS THAT LIE BEYOND EARTH, THE MILKY WAY AND THE UNIVERSE!

• if there is a god why does he or she work in such a weird way.
  

  It’s hard to comprehend isn’t it?
  If there is a god, why is there suffering? To punish man for his sins? Because we cause the suffering?
  
  The way I see it a god that would let us suffer as such would not be the all loving god preached by Christians Jews and Muslims but much more like the Greek gods, who sometimes had little care about human suffering.
  
  I for one do not believe in a God…
  That doesn’t mean I cannot help you…
  
  The best thing to do in a situation like this is to be a good close friend and do your all to help this person in need. Be supportive, kind and present for her.
  
  The way I see it, begging or praying will do no good. But that is my opinion. It is up to you to decide what you think will help her the most.
