  agreed, abortion is a bad idea and not the solution. I’m 17 and pregnant with my first child. Adoption sounds like a good solution for you. Also, if you are going to keep having sex, find a better birth control method. If you want to talk, I’m open. I’m still trying to come to terms that I’m pregnant at 17. Stay strong!

  I’m 17 yearsn old now, when I was 15 I was put in a hospital for depression and attempted suicide. A friend saved my life. I know it’s not easy, but open up to someone ANYONE! A friend, counselor, priest/rabbi, etc. I’m not saying spill your every thoughts, that wouldn’t be right. Just learn to trust your feelings and emotions and start talking. Talk about anything, the weather for all I care, my point is, if you start talking to someone you trust, things make more sense and it gets easier. The pain won’t go away on it’s own, nut suicide is not the way out. Take baby steps in fixing the problem, you can do it! Good luck and don’t give up!

  hey,
  I’m in a very similar position. I’m 17 years old and I took a home pregnancy test two days ago and found out it was positive. The best solution you can make right now is take a test yourself. Believe me I know it’s not easy. If you don’t want to risk it at home, do the testat school or at the market or something. Other signs of pregnancy are nauesa (vomiting) and frequent urination. I’m here if you want to keep in touch. Hang in there, I’m trying to also.

  I’ll try my best to get my parents to see my point of view, what you are saying makes a LOT of sense. The thing is they’re not really talking to me right now. I mean if they talk to me it’s just little things like “take out the trash” or whatever. After I told them, in my opinion it turned into about an hour and a half drama fest. Since then, all three of us have kind of been avoiding the situation. And yes, I definetly like to help other people. It’s one of the few things I think I’m pretty good at. My only hope is that things will eventually blow over. I just wish things weren’t so messed up

  thanks for the response, and I can see what you mean that I’m gaining maturity I guess. I mean it still was a pretty stupid thing to do, but as they say there is no use crying over spilled milk. What’s done is done. I have to focus on what’s the best thing for this baby. I hope everything will work out in the end, today I gritted my teeth and told my parents, in short it was a disaster, I don’t know how I’m supposed to get them to see the situation from my point of view. Thank you again for responding. Right now, I need all the advice I can get. ttyl!
