• Does religion really make us that much better?
  

  According to a Religion Professor/writer, Mircea Eliade, everyone is religious. The things you have internalized over the years have become your system of belief- thus, your religion.
  
  What I’m getting at is, I don’t think it’s important to focus on the label of your belief, so much as the belief itself. Pick what you like in Christianity, maybe even other religions, and follow those rules. Or write your own. Who says it’s gotta be strict?
  
  The point is, try not to limit yourself to what is or isn’t. Do whatever feels right. If believing is something that makes you feel good, then it’s right for YOU. If it isn’t, look for other things.
  
  I don’t belong to any religion in particular. Yet I can’t say I wouldn’t benefit from having an ultimate entity to believe in.
  While I’m not one to follow strict rules for the most part, I think when it comes to religion, there should be a golden rule: A Russian poet once wrote, “Every man chooses for himself.” I think every man should choose his religion, or belief system, for himself; without having to fear an outsiders’ judgement.
  
  Finally, for those who condemn religion… Remember : insitutionalized religion has caused problems amongst people. Not individual religion. There’s a huge difference which we tend to forget.

  that’s really interesting… maybe you miss your friend? maybe you have more feelings for him than you thought? If nothing ruined your friendship,give it another shot, who knows where it’ll go?
