Why does this song make me feel so much better? posted (2 years, 5 months) ago
Something powerful in it. http://youtu.be/gGXdXcpNsv4…
Do you ever re-read your replies and think… posted (2 years, 6 months) ago
Man I need to follow my own advice?…
sad. :( Just because you are numbed out though doesn’t mean it can’t come back right? She probably feels the same. I know i would do anything for my 2 young kids. They are certainly better off if you can stay together and love each other again… in my humble opinion… I’ve been with my husband for 15 years… I know that whenever i feel disconnected the best thing is to consider my husband and think of some way to make HIS life easier… You get back what you give out times 10.

Your body is probably craving real nutrition. That us why you can’t stop eating. Your body is trying desperately to fulfill some nutritional need.
Try eating a little of each: a piece of fruit(apple banana oranges) a vegetable (baby carrots, salad) some yogurt or milk, some whole grain bread, some chicken or other lean protein, some legumes (beans, peas, peanuts)
It may take days for your body tostop craving and being so desperate. Be sure to give yourself plenty of water and take a multivitamin as well.
Your body is starving

There are people in this world, when they help you, they hold it over your head and think they can tell you how to run your life.
STRINGS ATTACHED. They think they can insult you, accuse you and control you. Shame on her for not supporting her sister’s daughters.( I don’t mean financial support, I mean emotional family support)
Instead she lets her other sisters live there??? And she calls you a liar??? And wants you to be grateful to her??? Basically calls you a loser and tells you that your mom would be disappointed in you? (Don’t believe her for a second)
AND THEN tells you that she means you no harm? BS
This is the one of the most harmful letters I think I might have ever read.
You are Cinderella and She is the wicked step mother and your Aunts are the Ugly Step Sisters!! and they are full of it.
Go find a new life and live happily ever after never thinking of them again.

I got tears in my eyes from this post. This may be hard but what about writing your parents a letter? People are not perfect, including your parents, and while it may be very plain to you, they can not read your mind.
They don’t sound purposefully cruel or abusive. Maybe you could send them a link to this post. I think you would feel relieved if they knew how alone and sad you are really feeling.
Since you said you are religious, here is a religious perspective. Communicating with your parents is a form of honoring them. It gives them the information they need to parent you properly, helping them to be successful parents and allowing yourself to BE parented.
You are almost an adult and it is your responsibility to take part in these last years of your upbringing. Right now you are forming the kind of adult you will be. Be brave and you will be ok.
Oh, and how many people do you know that are still friends with their 8th grade friends? These are people you will not even see or ever think about again in a couple years. Do not waste even a minute thinking about them.
I hope we helped you!!!!

Well you have a great way with your writing.
This may be a far fetched suggestion. I’ve never had nearly the anxiety you describe. But I always felt immense pressure lifted as soon as I told a person I was shy etc.
What if you write column for your school paper, make the intro along the same lines of this post. Expand it to promote awareness on school campus about how students who may look or act differently and the difficulties they face in campus life.
Maybe if people know more about you it will lessen the tension for you and them.

It won’t always be like this. It is part of being human to feel loneliness. You have to listen to me when I say: As a teenager, you feel things much more deeply. Everything is still new. You are trying to find out who you are and to grow up.
There is nothing wrong with being lonely, though it is unpleasant. There are a lot of things in this world we have no control over. But one thing you can do is make yourself a more interesting person. (I don’t know that you aren’t) But go read some interesting books and articles. Learn how to do something cool. Make plans for your future. Invite someone to go out for ice cream. Buy new music. Develop yourself into a person who thinks about others and is grateful for what you have. If you are an interesting, caring, kind person, people will come to you.
Until then hang in there. Don’t be hard on yourself.

It’s very important to get a consultation with a lawyer that specializes in adoptions or custody. Even if you are out of state they may make an exception for you since you are relatives. It just takes some phone calling and talking to the right people. You are a good person. Best of luck to you.

This sounds very difficult. Most people take their hair for granted don’t they! How awful that people have made comments like that! You should say something back very pointedly “you shouldn’t make personal remarks about other’s appearance. It’s rude. And it shows what kind of person you are.”
Perhaps you could treat yourself to come cute hats or wide headbands. Girls can get away with wearing hats indoors.
I also saw a product by joan rivers that uses like mineral make up powder to color your scalp so it doesn’t show through. It’s called Joan Rivers Great Hair Day.

It’s because you are at a complete stand still. Try making some small goals and accomplishing them. Even if you are just going through the motions. Just cleaning up the kitchen or doing laundry… little projects around the house.
It may seem counter intuitive… if you don’t want to do something… do it anyway. Beef up your nutrition, get some sunshine. Read a good book.
You need to get some momentum going.
