Is there any help out there when someone is convicted of a crime that they are innocent of? A dear friend endured an abusive marriage and when finally got brave enough to leave SHE filed a restraining order on him. This lead to him losing everything (because he was in law enforcement). He was later accused of trying to get someone to hire someone to kill her (because they say he was angry he lost everything)but they had absolutley NO EVIDENCE to support this except for an ex-convict you made a monetary deal (and exonarated of his charges) with prosecustion to testify he was trying to do that. Sadly he was found guilty merely on this ex-convict word and face 10-20 yrs in jail. He was a model law enforcer, son, father, friend and community leader. It is a very sad thing….is there anything anyone can do to change this? Is there any help out there except for lawyers just trying to take all your money. It kills me to know that we can convict innocent people with no evidence! - written 2 years, 6 months ago
