  The person is just trying to encourage people to quit smoking (as any doctor or smart person would, it’s very well proven what smmoking can lead to, no need to argue that). If you don’t want to quit, then dont, its your choice, no one is forcing you to. But bashing on someone with non-selfish good intention is just dumb, only proves how immature they are. You don’t like the post, simply don’t reply to it, especially no need to post a negative reply and keep arguing on it.

  It’s phase you’re going through, having all sort of new thoughts and questions about your life and about the world we live in. And its a good thing you’re having all these thoughts. Far as your questions goes, you’re right, all those things are not necessary to live in this world, however, if you want to live in this SOCIETY, those are standard norms. Giving government control, following rules and regulations, earning money and spending money to buy goods, etc all norms of this society and are required to be part of it and to live in it. But they’re not requirments to SURVIVE in this world. For that all you need is Food, Water, Oxygen, Clothes and Shelter. You can choose to be not part of this society and live on your own, kindda like Amish people or more like a lonesome buddhist Monk. Separated from rest of the society. A lot of them grow and make their own food, and live in a hut by riverbank or in forest. Unless you plan on doing same, you’ll be part of this society where success is defined by how much money you make, how rich you’re, how big your house is or how many cars you own. And yes, in the end, all of it is waste.

  You are saying “Any finite number divided by infinity is as near to nothing”, that is correct. But then you assume near to nothing IS zero. That is wrong. As you divide any number by infinity the limit goes to 0, but never actually reaches 0 (calculus I), so yes population of the universe is merely NEAR zero, but not absolute zero.
  
  Also, Just because it is nearly zero, you cannot assume nothing exists there. For example, take a look at any atom. The electrons are found in very specific tiny area (rings) around the nucleus. The majority of the area around the nucleus empty, but where the electrons are found, there are Many of them, all in that area (rings). Just like that, yes the population of the universe is mostly nothing, but where it is found, theres plenty (~6.8 billion) :P

  @Cara: I now took care of the prob. had an attorney in NM go to court for me and pay the fine (which was almost in 4 figures lol), and the warrant is removed off my record. Far as the ticket goes, it wont be on my state of IL records. Ty for taking your time and writing :)
