  i did not know about nero? So you are telling me the audio can be fine on a dvd and all of a sudden quicktime pro can not recognize it all of a sudden from some flaw of the disk? I’m gonna try to grab a screen capture later tonight of it to give a better idea of what I am seeing. Maybe it might jog some memories. But I seriously have never seen this before.

  see what is odd is that for other videos already on the system the sound checkbox is not greyed out just stuff on dvd. The machine is a powerbook G4 and I don’t believe any upgrading has happened yet. I don’t see how wires could effect it. It makes no sense. When I play it off the DVD in quicktime it works so why audio does not work when you do save as or export I have no idea.
