thats good advice. I think I shud walk away from computer if neccessary. i think its just finding ways to ignore these people. but man, ive beeen getting so many rude comments its just. its just ive had more recently than a long time.

Make a clear statement of your position and then ignore them. Leave the post if necessary. Don’t “engage.” If they insult you, report them. A few (very few) are just out to get your goat! Don’t let them. Close down your computer and visit your real-life friends!!! :)

and yes, surely there should be techniques we can use to get ourselves away from insulting people.

take a vacation

correspond with the people here that you like (using shouts)

observe the others, and don’t get tangled up with them

I think a few people here enjoy making nasty comments. (I’m not referring to anyone on your post.) Sometimes it’s subtle, sometimes not. I hate it. I wish I could completely not care. Reporting it hasn’t gotten me very far, I don’t think. I don’t really know, since the moderators don’t reply to me. :) But you should still bring it up.

actually that doesn’t seem to be true - mine is always the same

when u post or answer anonymous later to anything (like few hrs or maybe less than that!) the icon would completely be different stuff u replyed/posted before.

why wud that be?

because then I’ll never be able to be anonymous again.
