  why arent u allowed to date? cos of ur parents? if thats the case, then either u just have to accept that u cant date, and let it go, or be up front with ur parents and tell them that u want to date someone. or, u can just lie to them and go on dates anyway.
  
  and why would he hate u? i dont think he would end up hating you, thats a bit extreme. its unlikely that he will. however, if he does say no, then things would be a bit weird between u guys. thats a risk u have to accept with being brave and telling him how u feel. but if he says no, it will feel like a massive weight off ur shoulders, and u can move forward with ur life

  kevin, u have to stop feeling sorry for yourself. tell her how u feel, or at least ask her out. if u feel bad doing this because ur friend also likes her, explain the situation to him. if ur really good friends u can sort something out. if ur not very good friends, then forget him, u gotta take care of urself.
  so ask her out. now if she says yes, great. if she says no, then i can tell u from personal experience, u will be down, but it will be like a huge weight lifted off ur shoulders. at least u can say to urself u had the guts to try. then u can get some space from her.
  ive been in this situation, the girl turned me down. i was upset for a long time, but at least i walked away from the situation with no regrets.

  it doesnt mean he wants to end it with you…he just needs time and space probably to think about his future. ive done the same thing, and didnt end up dumping the girl i was with. if he wants a break, ask him to tell u why.

  if he doesnt make a move, then u have to…otherwise ur just going to be waiting round forever. if he says yes, thats great. if not, then at least u can move on.

  mate, our situations are so similar its scary. ive been with my girl for two years…she had alot of problems in her life, and i went beyond the call of duty to help her. then she had an affair.
  ive realised this tho: she needs to learn to look after herself. you have done alot to help her, but she needs to help herself. she is clearly a complicated a person.
  you sound alot like me - ur someone who puts the needs of ur loved ones before ur own needs. thats very noble, but when that loved one doesnt reciprocate, you have to take a time-out. im not saying end it with her, (cos i havent ended my relationship, and i really dont want to cos i love her) just take some time to look after yourself. go away for a week or something. go stay with friends/family for a bit. for now, you gotta put ur needs first.
  its supposed to be about give and take - but by the sounds of things, our girls do all the taking and dont give much back.
