Well old… I’m slowly getting used to that. The oldest boy (who I got by marriage when he was 7) already has a girl and a boy, the latter less than a year old. This time it was my youngest biological son who got his second kid. The older kid is a girl, one year old. that is a young family, because that son is still only 20. My middle son is 23 and has no kids (or even any steady girlfriend). Counting those 2 first as my grandchildren, I have 4 in total.
I did not know of your cancer. I hope that it will be fixed alright. Then your best Christmas gift will be giving that away.
Good luck, and hugs!
Yeah I believe it to be the right thing, I can’t continue knowing the rules no longer count for anything.
I am ok’ish, mother in law died on sunday so still waiting on a funeral date.
Got on op for my cancer on 22nd Dec also.
Congrats on the new little bundle :D
Bet you feel old now or older ;)
Hope your cold clears up soon, they seem to have a nasty habit of hanging around for weeks.
Hi again,
That sucks. I know you’ve got morals and I trust your judgement, so I am sure that you did right.
I hope that you are OK in other terms.
I am ill, a very bad cold. I’m working but I cough my lungs out and don’t get oxygen, so it is not funny.
But it will pass as it always does. I am fine in other ways.
Btw, I became a granddad again on Oct 26th, a boy called Leo.
Hi Lazy, I am not here often.
I hear that you are a mod now, congrats to that!
And I hope that you are fine.
I have a question:
I was asked for an age verification, and to write my email in a box. I did so twice, and was rejected. “That address is not available, it said.
But I logged in using the same address, and that is OK.
What is up with CBS?
Central Brain Screw-up?
But hugs for you.
Lazy, I’ll have to go.
But don’t forget, you have my email address too!
I’d of course be glad for any mail from you, but I really expect it at times when you are in a low mood.
Hugs!
Nah, not so extreme. In West Africa I was living in an extremely hot climate, but by the sea which made that quite nice. That bad stuff at that place was all the civil war fighting and shooting (it is very annoying to get shot at).
But in East Africa, I was living at 800 m level, a very nice climate, just beside a range of mountains. Within 1-2 hours, I could sit by a forest stream up in the mountains, with almost Nordic summer climate, or 2 hours another direction, by the Indian Ocean.
I’d say that those were perfect conditions!
wow I think you just like EXTREME weather lol; from one end of the scale to the other; I think I will just setle for drab old UK!
And yeah I think knowing you can leave at anytime makes anything bareable :D
Oh yes, they can!
We have wild Norwegians, just the other side of the border… hehe.
I was living in African countries for ten years, so I think I can deal with Malaria mosquitos, Tse-Tse flies, elephants and other bugs.
But then I appreciated colder climates too - I even went to Alaska for vacation.
I think the key is to not HAVE to live in it, i.e. to be able to leave again whenever I want.
Sounds like a plan :)
You won’t be there forever but when you do move somewhere warmer you will comaplin about the bugs and things lol only good thing about colder climates is that nothing wild can live long enough :D
Hi again,
Yes, I just checked that I really have that address (and I have it).
Ah, the job is not only good, but interesting as well. But it is situated in this God-forgotten place, so eventually I will move out.
I will, however, first learn a lot and get some contacts.
Hi Lazy!
I’m sorry for not having been around. I got a new job, quite far away so I wake up at 05.30 every morning.
And yesterday I got the key for a new address, so I will start moving within a few days.
But I’m alright, only not very happy. I guess the weather takes its toll, like minus 15-20 degrees, a lot of snow and small roads.
I’m just not aimed for this climate! :-)
Your still not about… Hmmm
well atleast you will have some shouts for when you do come back, whenever that may be..
Or you could just end up with all your shouts being spammed by me :D
We will see.
At least I have promised myself to not work as much. I don’t get overtime pay anyway.
Part of what troubles me is that the new job will carry less travelling, but maybe I can make it into that anyway. The current job was not only funny, but it also got me abroad a lot.
Enough abot that. I don’t give a sh** in what today’s date is, maybe I’ll get into my car and go south anyway.
If I skip Friday work, I don’t have to be back until Monday.
Well I don’t see any harm in looking around and applying for other jobs while you are still working in the job you are doing now, I mean if nothing turns up then at least you are in a job and you are not searching out of desperation also the fact that it is easier to find a job when you already have one.
Is there such a word as stuck?
I think there is always an answer to things if you look at them for long enough.
What about applying for other jobs abroad or in areas where there are people?
Nah, I could not agree with the owner of the company I work with.
It is a funny job, but he intervenes all the time without knowing what he is doing.
So I resigned.
I got another job, actually as a GM for another company up here, so I have to stay.
Quite absurd situation, having to accept a GM position or get unemployed…
Hrm… my Christmas hasn’t even been.
I am far up in the north, where I know nobody.
I did not give a single gift and did not get a single gift.
I met nobody. I had no tree.
Could it be funnier?
Same with this New Year’s eve.
I sit in my sofa and see only snow outside.
Don’t know where to go.
And why go anywhere? A hotel isn’t funnier.
I have a small summer house in the south, but there is also snow (and no heating at all - it is a summer house).
Hi Lazy!
I’m so sorry, I totally missed Reece’s coming.
Thing is, stuff hasn’t been so great lately and I have not been on much.
But I am happy for you!
Congrats, and I hope that your Xmas was good!
And a Happy New Year!
Hi Lazy!
I see that you live in Wales.
Do you know anybody who would like to come to Sweden and work as au pair for a nice Welsh/Swedish couple? The man is a Welsh diplomat and the woman is a Swedish top executive. They are both in their early thirties.
They have a small daughter.
I would guess that they would prefer a female au pair. They have a Swedish au pair now, but she will continue her studies and can’t stay on. I know that they would like somebody who can speak Welsh.
It is an easy job, because the girl spends most of the day at a nursery school, the man works in Copenhagen (commuting) and the woman works in Stockholm, or travels. They live in Stockholm.
Neither do I. And this time I sent like 40, because who would be interested in my rant?
But I don’t feel ashamed, because I have previously sent at most 5 or 6 invitations in total, over 2 years.
