Our family favorite for vacations is near Tulum Mexico - It is absolutely beautiful down there - It is located about 1 1/2 hours south of Cancun, and has the whitest beaches, and bluest water. My wife found this house on the beach that we rent every holiday season for the last three years.
We love it because there are no crowds like in Cancun or Cozemel, and you are literally about 15 feet from the front door of the house to the waters of Tankah Bay.

My wife has a childhood friend like that - she can actually be having a phone conversation with her friend, set down the phone and throw a load of laundry in the dryer, and come back, and said “friend” is still talking away and never realized no one was listening.
