  You can do it I guess, but I really don’t think it’s that realistic. You have to get LUCKY if you hope to get noticed. I Mean, I’m a hobby singer myself..and when I was younger I use to sing Jazz opera and RnB, even now If Iget a gig I go sing…but if you every heard me sing it might sound great, but ask yourself this..would you walk up to me and start talking to me? Most people wouldn’t..but if you would..great..what would you ask me? What would you say to me?
  As you said..it’s serious business…if it’s serous business..why are you doing it on the street? Most people that do “serious business’ don’t do it on the street. Most people that do business on the street is “street business’ and anyone that is serous about buinsss doesn’t really like to do business with people on the “street”.
  So if I were you, I’d try to find a studio and record. If you don’t have the money for these kinds of things, then you should go to open mic events. I mean, an open mic night is 1000% better than singing on the street!!! It shows that you’re somewhat serious about what you want to do.
  2nd when you’re done singing, its much easier to meet people and 3, odds of a scout being there and willing to listen to you are much higher. I mean, as a business person,…I don’t have time to stand on the street and listen to someone sing….but if I’m at open mic, I’m there BECAUSE I WANT to find someone that can sing..got it? Don’t waste your time on the street singing. You’ll just look like a bum. Use your brain!
  You seen the interviews with all these celebrities, they say, music is a business..they had to learn quick! It’s not just singing..
