Life is good. My wife and I have our first baby. A 4 month old little girl. Life as an insurance agent is good too. Anyhow, I was thinking about all the old friends from Help.com and came back to check in and reassure them that all is well with me. Not that I’m doing anything particularly interesting to anyone else. Looking after a baby is facinating to the parents while a total bore to everyone else. I hope things are going well for you. Hi, Qzzzz! Yep, things are good. Michele is 5 months pregnant with a girl. I’m starting a new job on Monday with a different insurance company. The pay will be better, I’ll have benefits and I think I’ll be much more successful. Instead of selling health and life insurance to senior citizens, I’ll be an account manager selling group health insurance plans to companies. I’m really looking forward to the new job. Hope all is well with you!

You will do good as there is one thing they cannot teach you, a look of intergity, you have that characteristic. Having been in the business for 25 years, that is the most important thing a person can have as it puts the people at ease.

Young people really need life insurance or an IRA. So many of them are so blind to retirement etc… Also, it is a real sad thing when a father dies early in life and his wife is left with children for many years. And, when their children are ready for college and they have saved nothing. Lots of people buy an insurance policy at birth for their children and when they are 18, they have the money to attend college. Believe me, you are doing them a service by selling it to them. This kind of thinking is very important to motivate yourself to sell.

Thanks for the good wishes. As it happens I am doing well in my new job. But man is it tough work! I am definitely working outside my comfort zone. Nevertheless, I am hanging in there. And I always like learning new things. (Don’t actually ask me about insurance now or I’ll talk your ear off.) The insurance business pays better than site moderating, but let’s just say you really have to earn it with a fair amount of sweat and blood.

Sorry to hear about JoJo and the Reverend disappearing. Hopefully they are OK. All I can say for sure is that I’m certain JoJo will be back. I can only assume that she’s depressed or preoccupied - but either way, I like to think that she’ll snap out of it. She has before.

Just cannot get over JoJo leaving and not one word. She was to visit Canph in Vegas a couple of weekends ago, never called and never showed up…

Thanks for the compliments on my job as a moderator. Indeed, I did care about the folks here. And I am very glad to have made your aquaintance too. Even on the occassions when we disagreed, I was always respected how much you cared about helping people. Your commitment and faith always impressed me. Anyhow, on Monday I start my new job as a life and health insurance agent. Quite a change, but I’m looking forward to it. I might be scarce for the first 90 days as work through my initial trial period, but I won’t be completely absent - especially on weekends. I like the site and I like the people, such as yourself, so I’ll be back.

All I can say for sure is that the writer of this post did not write any other posts from the same IP address. I think it makes it less likely that this person was trying to flood us with false alarms.

Yes, a miracle would work! Having discuss this with many people on this site for several months, it seems futile and a waste of energy, but who knows, maybe one will get it…and it will have been worth it..

Yeah, talking politics with teens is amusing. Not much chance of changing anyone’s mind. But who knows? Miracles happen. ;)

I’m investigating the post you told me about. I’m waiting to see if Kingdomc0m can confirm if she wrote it or if we have an imposter on our hands. Oddly both people share the same IP address - which is to say, they both used the same computer terminal… (By the way, you can report posts to me by “inviting” me to see them. I love a good time and if a good time can be had by virtue of occasional inappropriate banter I’m lovin’ it. Other things I love are singing, laughing, dancing, sleeping : the luxuries of life. Yep. The site seems slow to me too. It’s Help.com and not your computer I think. The good news is that it might be due to the website being busy with lots of people. I’ll ask Jeff to look into this…

Actually, the change was subtle but the people you see listed in the left hand column are no longer “Popular” members. This is now a list of “Last 15 Members Online”. In other words, it’s a list of who is currently logged into the site. So the good news is that the Help.com is not winding down. Site usage is growing - although as a separate matter we are seeing some “churn” as veteran members drop off and get replaced by new ones.

C.M., seems that some of the regular posters have quit posting and helping out. Would be a good idea to take me off the popular board?

Elizabeth, Anthrax, Southern Comfort, etc have just about quit.

Seems like things are very slow. Kinda thought management might close help.com down. Certainly think we are doing some good here.

Anyway, you guys are the coaches. I’m just a player, but will do anything to help the good ole team…lol..
