The only way to get a pet in my opinion is through the shelter. They really do need homes and lots of loving don’t they.
I use to work in one as a volunteer on w/ends and it was heart breaking for me sometimes but I would take a dog out on the lawn area and walk each one and try discipline. We were trained first on how to do this. Wasn’t easy with some! :) I was also a ‘cat cuddler’ and for those cats that were left in the lodge for boarding while their owners went on holidays I would just sit and cuddle and pat. Some of these were so old, I remember one being 21! Fur all mattered, eyes had gunk all over them. Couldn’t touch these ones much at all-just sit next to and talk.
Not sure what to do for sons b/day. He is saying friends over for sleepover and pizza/movie night…sounds good to me :)

I’ve, with the exception of last night and today, been really taking a lot of steps to move forward and beyond the rollercoaster what was *** and I. We had a painful, painful… talk about breaking things off. even though we still have to work together. but, we haven’t been able to maintain a friendship well. we both really hurt.
I’ve taken time off work too. (he’s my boss)

Been working as usual and all that stuff. Have to start organizing what I’ll be doing for my sons 12th b/day in Aug…it comes too quick and I don’t want to leave to last min.
Your new doggy sounds adorable. I was wondering if you got her from an animal shelter? Animals are the best to have around. They are sooo loyal and loving, and especially labs like you have. Bet she likes “walkies”! :)
