I agree with this. It is an interesting experiment, but not noble.

Yeah, that comes from pure ignorance. Rape is an assault and can in no way be considered similar to consensual fornication. This so-called shariah law that they operate under in so many dictatorial regimes has nothing to do with Islam. “Religious” leaders in these places need to grow some spines and denounce this garbage or they, too, will be held accountable for it on the day of judgement.

I am sorry for your loss. Did they have family? I will remember your friends and their families in my prayers.

Corruption is a hard, if not impossible situation to fix. Hatred can only be fixed with love, respect, and knowledge. And those Afghan people are going to have to choose for themselves how they want to live; outsiders can help but not change their world for them.

I had a delightfully uneventful day. Boring or delightfully uneventful - I guess it depends on your expectations.

To connect with strangers. To listen to ideas and share what knowledge and wisdom I have. I don’t have much time these days, but I check in when I can.

Maybe rather than getting a new trash bag each time, she dumps it into another container to take it out. I can see that being kinda gross if people leave their hygiene items unwrapped, and I’ve done that with my own smaller trash cans.

Just wrap it up. It’s not worth worrying over.

Home day care. Start small, get state licensed. If it goes really well, you can grow. You can spend as much time outside as you like, depending on your group of kids and the weather. You can decide how many and what age you want to work with. There is little start up cost if you already have children’s toys and books from your own children.

If people actually followed the teachings of their religions there would be no religious wars. The problem is the corrupt leadership leading people astray.

As for what I would do if I had the authority to command the world, I would distribute educational resources so that communities are able to empower themselves to achieve self-sufficiency in whatever way works best for them.

Break things off cleanly with the first girl. Be honest with the second that you like her a lot but still are getting over the first one. Take things slowly.
