  i’m kind of working on the same thing myself. do you mean songs with lyrics? do you plan to sing them yourself or have someone else sing them? my songs are all piano solos so all i need is a way to get it on the computer. you don’t necessarily need a studio’s help, just the right equipment at your house. look how owl city started. a lot of awesome bands start completely digital while they’re holed up in their room lol. there will be a startup cost any way you look at it, but i think it’s less expensive to work on it privately with your own materials. a good keyboard with lots of instrument voices is a must. there are great sound editors like fl studio (which is expensive) and lmms (which is free) and at least these two have tutorials all over the internet. so you could compose/record different instruments on the keyboard, put them on a flash drive as separate files, then put the files in a sound editor and layer them to create your song. as for voice, i think the only way to do that is to get a good quality mike to hook up to your pc. you could always request people on youtube to sing it. it takes a lot of research, but making music is worth it. ;)

  i don’t know why but he’s got this thing for not getting “in the way”. so he wouldn’t tell me that day, but knowing doctors it’s gonna be a lot, and they’re really poor (like me :P). i don’t want to push him much more because that might make him turn around and give up entirely. it’s amazing he agreed to the diet change because that’s a hard thing to commit to. he might’ve had his trust in doctors abused somehow. i think i’ll sleep on it. :)
