2009-01-23 02:00:16 on It’s no secret that this site is comprised of many people that endorse it with generosity, dependability, and honesty.
My 2 cents: I have been visiting this site for about 2 years and as long as I have the time I will continue to use this site (in whatever state it is in). Yes, it’s a pain in the butt when things aren’t working properly, however, to be honest, I don’t really care, that’s life, sometimes things break. It would, of course, be nice if they were fixed within seconds of them breaking, but I can’t fix them and I suspect that those that can might have other things to do with their day, so I trust that eventually they will be fixed. I’m patient and I wait. I make do with what does work and I remember why I came here in the first place. I came here to help people and I feel that I can still do that (site broken or not). I think enough people have made it clear that there are some problems with this site and I’m sure those with the power to fix it have it on their ‘to do’ list. I think it might be worthwhile remembering why we’re here in the first place (and that we can leave anytime we want) and spending less time moaning about the cosmetics and frills. Now go help somebody!

Now, it’s unfair on you both to drag it out if you know it’s going to end.
2009-01-19 08:07:38 on Why do women expect to be taken care of in a relationship; but deplore being told what to do?
Why do men generalise that ALL women expect to be taken care of?

Then you just need to shout and scream a bit and get on with the things you need to do. Don’t let it stop you from getting on with the things you need to do.

I know how that feels. My husband and I have been having the same fight for the last 5 years. He’s a complete pain in the *** about it and it never gets resolved, therefore it keeps rearing it’s ugly head. Take some deep breaths and get on with what you have to do. The husband will wait. Or you could always just make up with him and then get on with things (but I completely understand if you’re thinking HE needs to make the next move!!). Good luck to you.

2009-01-15 05:02:50 on I have a SERIOUS problem.

It’s difficult when you like someone and don’t want to hurt them but aren’t sure of your feelings for them. It sounds like you don’t love this boy from summer camp and it might be worth not saying it to him anymore. Perhaps distancing yourself a little from him too and easing things back to a friendship rather than anything more.
How can I? If he’s always saying “I love you” and telling me he can’t wait until July, what could I possibly say? “Stop telling me?”
I know it’s not going to be easy but just because he tells you doesn’t mean you have to repeat it. Also, you could just tell him that you want to slow things down and concentrate on being friends first. You could even tell him you are too young to get serious.
