Mandolin
Look, here’s the thing, I’ve had these little debate sessions, Q&A’s, or whatever is the best term for it throughout this on here, if we were sitting face to face, I’d go through it all with you, but I need a break from the point-counterpoint. I mean if you were an undecided voter, I wouldn’t hesitate, but you have made up your mind and I have made up mine, it won’t go anywhere, we won’t change each others vote and for the moment I’m just exhausted, but out of respect I will try to answer you to the best of my ability, but I ask you please don’t come back at me with something else, please accept my answer.
The only thing I will say is that, I do believe that McCain loves this Country, he is a true American hero and those are hard to come by, he bled for his Country, he is a Patriot beyond every measure of that word that can be defined in this day and age.
As far as working with other leaders and his own administration, I’ll stand on McCain’s record and history of working with Dems on joint efforts, there are a lot of endorsements from Democrats voting for McCain that show they respect him and trust him. That says something to me. A weird little endorsement that people don’t know about is his former jailer in that POW camp, it’s weird, but true. He said that McCain taught him to speak English. That says something to me.
I think that McCain’s speaking skills are highly underated, but that is just my opinion.
I don’t put stock in pre-written speeches or the ability to say them well, sorry folks that’s just a non-issue for me.
The idea that he is anything like Bush is in my opinion a false perception based on their shared political party. Bush is no Reagan, Gore was no Clinton, Obama is no Kennedy and so on so forth. You have to judge candidates bases on themselves and not just their political party.
I think that McCain is more fit in the area of foriegn relations than Obama, sorry to tout this out, but experience does count for something.
Please don’t tout that you think Palin doesn’t have experience, because it is not the same. She has a level of experience that is fit for the VP spot and there is a former President that had her level of experience with he took the Presidency. My brain is fried right now, can’t think of who, thinking it was Teddy Roosevelt, but anyway.
The thing is that Obama doesn’t have McCain’s level of experience.
And McCain is not at deaths door either, there is a special on CNN tonight about both candidates health, people that are afraid of McCain’s health should watch it, but really I think that a lot of the concern is fake for some, I think for some it is just a way to campaign against him, I think that is low, my opinion.
People can die regardless of age. Obama is a long time smoker and quit last year so that he could run for the Presidency, but has snuck a few this year, he said that not me. Obama also has a history of cancer in his family, so it increases his odds. Biden as President, ick for me, but even he is more favorable to me than Obama, sad but true.
2008-10-11 13:57:23 on WOW now that is HUGE!
I would so invite you to a sleep over, we could really do some damage together, hehehe
At sleep overs as a kid I was always the last to sleep, if I slept at all, lol

I knew the scale wouldn’t work, lol, I couldn’t figure out how to do it right…lol
2008-10-11 13:47:23 on The Obama Tidal Wave
It’s the scale Mandolin, everybody has there own scale.
Here is my scale:
McCain Obama
v v
Trust————————-Distrust
My trust of McCain is above the center of my trust scale and my trust of Obama is very near to distrust. BTW for me I have yet to see a Candidate in any election that reaches my highest level of trust, lol. McCain comes closer than ANY other candidate in my history of voting. Bill Clinton was right in the middle for me.
I also have this little check list of issues that are important to me and I match the candidates up against it and will vote for the one that share the majority of those issues, unless it conflicts with my trust scale, then geez I get a battle going in my own mind, lol.
McCain comes closest to being inline with my issues of importance and Obama is very low on my trust scale.
Dani, I’m sorry you lost a friend over this, that is sad and I just don’t get that sort of thing, I’d get bored beyond belief if the only people I had to talk to agreed with me 24/7, where’s the challenge in that and it sure isn’t going to get my braincells going.
2008-10-11 13:28:26 on WOW now that is HUGE!
lol, well he has been working really hard, when I’m ready for him to wake up, I’ll let the kids get out of control, hehehehe
2008-10-11 13:27:13 on Anti OBAMA emails—
Well, it’s pretty silly if you ask me, wearing buttons has been a part of elections since before I was born. I’m not going to say any more because I feel like I’m in enemy territory, lol.
2008-10-11 13:23:18 on Its the best thing i ever seen
Time to get the party started, wahoo Brian’s back…celebrate good time come on.
Hey Man, great to see you around, yeah, yeah I know, shabby that I didn’t email, but hey I don’t email anyone, just ask Raver, lol

lol yeah Dani, people should vote for sure!!!!
2008-10-11 13:17:48 on The Obama Tidal Wave
Worse is a matter of opinion Dani and there is something similar to that in Obama’s past, his first election, he had all his competition removed from the ballot on minor technicalities, there were like 3 or 4 other candidates, I can’t remember which, either way what he did wasn’t illegal, but it was an abuse of the system, some would even say an abuse of power and not an honorable way to win an election. We all have to use our own scales to balance what is worse and based on the information that I have about both for me personally they don’t equal.
Palin was in her legal right to fire the guy and by law she is not required to say why, it was at her discretion. Frankly, the trooper was no chior boy, he tasered his 10 yr old step-son to which he doesn’t deny and done other things that was an abuse of his power as a statetrooper and he should have been fired, so regardless of the reasons why she fired the man that didn’t fire the trooper, that doesn’t tip my scale over.
Obama’s first election tipped my scale, I had questions about him, but I wasn’t sure, little red flags that said something wasn’t right, but I could have been proven wrong at any given time, until I found out about that election and read everything I could find about it. That is when I decided that I would not vote for him.
2008-10-11 13:03:24 on I Completely lost all respect for the chatholic church
Jesus is love, Jesus is forgiveness, standing up to evil is one thing, rendering evil for evil is quite another. Though I agree that we as Christians must not conform, there is a time and a season for all things, a time to fight and a time to be gentle. A time indeed to turn the other cheek as our Savior taught. To judge not lest you be judged. Shweee be fearful that in your stands for the Lord that you do not cross the line. Remember the Holy Word, remember that Christ dined with Sinners and did not judge them. We should not let them change us for our Holy word taught us that as well, but we must not also condemn them for that would be a sin.
2008-10-11 12:48:39 on WOW now that is HUGE!
Oh lol, I had to get off line and missed this…Hubby came home…now he’s napping.
2008-10-11 12:44:16 on The Obama Tidal Wave
McCain didn’t invent the crap about Obama, it was already out there and if there was more mud on McCain you bet your bippy that the Dems would be using it, that’s just politics. I mean if they could they would link McCain to anything even potentially corrupt that they could find, but the only thing that even reeked of corruption from him that they could find was the Keating Five 20 years ago and that only just barely has any smell to it.
Unlike what some people believe though, I don’t think that McCain is perfect and there are issues that I disagree with him on, like immigration, but ya know nobody is ever going to be 100% agreeable all of the time.
and Dani dear a heffer I think is a female cow, lol.
Besides the race isn’t over and there are a lot of variables that still look like McCain could win, elections can turn on a dime, polls aren’t always accurate, but I know I would bore you if I explained it, so I won’t, lol
2008-10-11 09:43:58 on NRA endorses Senator John McCain for President of the United States!
I really don’t think it’s to late, it’s getting close, but I think Senator McCain shouldn’t be counted out just yet. Guess on that we will just have to wait until election day.
Thank You Chev, I have felt a little beaten up by others supporting Obama, even been called some pretty nasty names and have even had one person remove me from their friends list for reasons I don’t even understand and I just really, really appreciate talking to someone that is so respectful and understanding of what I’m saying, even if you disagree with me. That means so very much to me, you are such a good person.
Doubtfull that I’ll be going to tea at the White House either, lol
Thanks Chev, really means so much how you have treated me.
