2008-06-23 12:01:08 on Ok I’m not pregnant yet but, I have been diagonosed with High blood pressure.
It depends on what kind of meds you are on. It is always best to consult with a doctor before taking yourself off meds because it can always have a worse effect on you. Talk to them about things you can do to help lower your BP before you get pregnant. You should try to eat better and stay active. This will help not only you, but also you baby when you do become pregnant.
2008-06-12 17:04:36 on Car Questions….
I would personally get the GTO. Its an “All American Classic” if you build it right and make it look good, it will be worth it. Those are two totally different cars, so you have to decide what kind of “crowd” to hang out with. DO you want to be with the classics or do you want to be with the foreign makes? The GTO would be easier to work on and probably to find parts for, not 100% about that but generally american cars are easier to work on than foreign makes. Well, hope you like whatever you get!
2008-06-05 20:34:54 on hello, im going crazy about my situation… im a female with a major weight problem.
sparkspeople.com is a very good weigt loss community. It is completely free and offers great tips. Try eating better and eating more smaller meals a day. That will help keep your metabolism up. Try that for a couple of weeks and see how much you lose, don’t worry about pounds, worry about if your clothes fit better. If you don’t get the results you are looking for, then go and talk to your doctor. You can ask him about prescription weight loss meds that are FDA approved. I am on one call phentermine that makes you lose you appetite and gives some people more energy. It is actaully the good part of Phen-Fen. As with any drug you have to be very very careful and take them as prescribed.
2008-06-05 20:28:24 on pregnant?
very very unlikely
2008-06-05 20:26:43 on pregnant and birth control
Ok, if you stop the birth control now the birth control will still be in your system for a while so it won’t really make a difference. Ok, here is something to think about. You are on a pill that is making a natural cycle (your period) that is suppost to happen once a month only happen 4 times a year. Your body is still going to try and have you period because it is natural. This is why you could be having spotting and cramping. If you are that worried that you are pregnant, then go and buy a home pregnancy test and take it or call you doctor. You can also check the symptoms for the specific birth control you are on you can do this by looking at the prescription info that come with the birth control, you could google the specific name, or you could call your pharmacist.
2008-05-31 11:33:59 on Is it dangerous to get a Chicken Pox vaccine twice in less than 3 months apart?
I am not sure about the chicken pox vaccine, but I know for some vaccines you have to get a set of shots, like for Hep B you have to get 3 shots over a period of 6 months at certain times. Call your doctor and just double check with them to see and they will be able to tell you about whats going on.
2008-05-31 11:29:14 on i had sex like a week and a half ago.
The more you think about “being pregnant” the more your body will respond to it. You can actaully make your body believe it is pregnant, which will cause you to be late. So, chiil out and try not to think about it ( I know its hard, I have been there too). Stress can also cause your period to be late, so again calm down. Try not to take the test until you are late (it will save you a lot of $ because pregnancy test are not cheap, lol). So, just hang in there and this will all be over in a couple of days.
2008-05-31 11:16:03 on This is my story, and I hope someone can help me find an answer.
You should apply for Food Stamps or a similar program. This will help keep you all fed and healthier. Also, depending on how old the children are you might be able to apply for WIC (I believe one of them would have to be under 3 I could be wrong on the year though). As for your husband, can he get social security yet or can you? Also, try going to your Unemployment office and see if they can help you out.
2008-05-31 11:10:35 on friends with benefits?
Hmm, me and my boyfriend did that when we broke up for a few months. It was all good and everything, it was basically the same thing as when we were dating but it was without the title. Now, we are back together.
Each situation is different, you have to communicate with the other person no matter what or someone will end up getting hurt. Let them know what the conditions are for you. Ex: “No-strings attached” means that you can end it whenever with no reason, or something like that. You need to know that there is most likely going to be some feelings involved because you are going to be having an “sexual” relationship, you both just have to know how to deal with these feelings. If either one of you feels uncomfortable or used then the friends with benefits needs to stop immeditatley!
2008-05-31 11:01:32 on I and my friend are stuck in Gainesville, FL.
There are always jobs, you just have to go and look for them
2008-05-30 12:51:19 on Ok i have Scabies which is really stressful since its on my face and my parents are still making me go to school esp.
How do you know it is scabies that you have? They are very very contagious! If you have bumps don’t just assume that they are scabies until you have had doctor confirmation. I have had it before and it is the worse thing there is. Do they itch at all? If you do have it the doctor would have given you very stict instructions to follow, which include washing about every surface and anything you have touched in like the last couple of months, putting a special cream on a certain way, and no going out in public places until you are confirmed not to have it anymore. Talk to your parents about it until they believe you or go to your schools nurse (if you don’t have a nurse there then talk to one of your counselors or teacher).
2008-05-30 12:38:53 on Graduation song = D
You have to hear “Sooner or Later” by Michael Tolcher. We played it two years at my high school graduation. It is really really good, not to fast and not to slow.
“Sooner Or Later”
[Verse 1]
Pull the hair back from your eyes
Let the people see your pretty face
Try not to say anything weird
Save your questions without answers
‘Til your old enough to know that things ain’t as they appeared
Before you go out in the sun
Cover your skin and don’t get burned
Beware the cancer, it might kill you when you’re old
Be first in line, raise your hand
Remember everything you hear
And playing in the rain is worth catching cold
[Chorus]
Sooner or later
We’ll be lookin’ back on everything
And we’ll laugh about it like we knew what all was happening
And someday you might listen to what people have to say
Now you learn the hard way
[Verse 2]
We only want what’s best for you
That’s why we tell you what to do
And nevermind if nothing makes sense
‘Cause it all works out in the end
You’re just like us without a friend
But you can build a privacy fence (Yeah)
[Repeat Chorus]
[Verse 3]
Somethings you have to learn them all on your own
You can’t rely on anybody else
Or the point of view of a source unknown
If it feels good and sounds nice
Then it’s your choice don’t doubt yourself
Don’t even think twice
Pull the hair back from your eyes
Let the people see your pretty face
You know they like it when you smile (Find a reason to smile)
Try not to focus on yourself
Share that love with someone else
Don’t let the bitters bring you down (Down)
Don’t let anything bring you down
2008-05-30 12:22:14 on Envious of height?
Ok, well I am a girl and six foot tall to be exact, and I am not one of those sticks with arms and legs either. Life is not easy at all on this side of the fence. You can never find clothes that fit right, you never can find cute shoes because your feet are bigger than every one elses. Let me see, guy’s think that you are to tall to date because you are taller than they are. The list goes on and on. Don’t get me wrong, I actually love being tall despite all of the “oh you should be playing basketball cause you are tall” comments.
But, it doesn’t matter how tall a girl is if she has a cockey attitude and thinks that she is better than anyone else, that just means that when she gets out in the real world she will get what is coming for her when she won’t have everyone worshiping the ground that she walks on.
I have to disagree with the comment about the weight and hair color in contast to weight. I mean, all of those things are in fact genetic too, and the only reason people change them is because they are trying to fit into society’s image of the “perfect loook.”
So, are you saying that because I am taller than the “average woman” that I simply think I am better than everyone else. If you do, that is wrong. It is so sterotypical to put people into groups and judge them (tall girls think that they are better than everyone)
Sorry this is so long, height issues really get me going. lol
2008-05-30 11:51:01 on Is it normal to get bad diarrhea and fever on your period?
Diarrhea is actually very common for women during their cycyle. It is normal to get it a couple of days before you start and up through the end of your period. Dr. are not sure what exactually causes it but they believe that it is due to cramping and/or the extra blood flow that there is. You can try taking some OTC pain relievers, such as Tylenol which will reduce the cramping, and see if that helps decrese it some. You can also try talking to your doctor about this since you are getting a high fever along with it. If the diarrhea is chronic (meaning you get it other times than when you are on your cycle), I would def talk to a doctor. I am not really sure about having a temperature, but if you try the OTC pain relievers that will help decrease the temperature as well.
2008-05-27 14:59:47 on I’m trying to decide what to go to college for-should I go to be a Registered Nurse?
I am in almost the same boat as you, the only difference I am a sophomore in college! I am a nursing major (RN-BSN) and I have been accepted into a very very good nursing program that I though I had no chance of getting into. I am going to try it in the fall and see if it what I want to do for the rest of my life or not. What you could try doing is going to a local Community college in your area. This way it is a heck of alot cheaper and you get the same classes with usually better teachers than local university. This way you can get all of your general ed classes that you need for about any major and then take one class a semester that you think just sounds interesting for even fun, this will allow you to see even more job choices and majors that you might have not even know about. I am going to a community college now and will be transfer into a Huge university. My saying for school is you never know until you at least try it. Good Luck!
