Well, she isn’t telling it “how it is”, as in many cases pitiful excuses don’t apply. As in the examples I gave. If a person is quiet, that isn’t a bad thing (quite the opposite), and it doesn’t necessitate them being afraid, or having had psychological “trauma”. xD
Someone being a “geek”/intellect doesn’t mean that they necessarily try, or care about school, or have unemployed parents. Maybe they’re just smart.
you completely missed the point I was getting at. This post is, whether the OP intended for it or not, implying that these things are just as serious as having an eating disorder (anorexia) or depression (various examples the post gave).
I am a “geek”, I am quiet, I don’t wear Abercrombie. While I get that the post was to discourage bullying, it still implies my personal preferences and natural behavioral and mental variations (introvertedness and intellect) are to be put at the same level as the others. Which is pretty ridiculous.
