We all feel crazy from time to time, and worry about our tendencies toward behaviors or feelings that we abhor. You’re not alone. Everyone feels this way to some degree or another.
Your university should have some sort of health services on site. See whether they can refer you to a psychiatrist. That doesn’t mean you’re crazy! It just means that you’re going to talk to someone who knows how the mind works and can help you address your particular problems. It’s very likely that the psychiatrist will be able to help you understand what’s happening and can give you some ways to overcome. Drugs are a possibility — sometimes they’re given just for a short period while you learn to deal with your emotions.
From what you’ve written, you sound like a normal person who struggles with some emotional issues. You’re better off than many. I don’t think you should ignore the problem — please see a doctor — but in my completely non-professional opinion, you sound like someone with a good prognosis. - written 6 months, 3 weeks ago
