  Oh I really needed those advices.. It’s true that if I say that I don’t like my name, people won’t like it either.. I always got touched when I heard people screaming my name, but I’ll try to smile from this day!   That sounds like bullying to me. Look saying gross or LOl is just rude. Unless they think they are going along with your own feelings, so if you introduce yourself by saying “Oh my name is terrible, its Mejrem” people will go along with you.
  
  One option is to give your self a cool nickname so your friends begin calling you something cool
  
  But I’d just be proud of your name and like yourself
  
  I have the same name as a film star, I joke to my students “you may have seen me in ‘”””'’ I am thinner and taller on screen” that helps. You could develop a witty comeback like “old name, but young heart”

  I don’t know but in my country and in my language it’s considered old. Some of my friends who are very religious, they like it, and sometimes that keeps me alive.. [quote mumstheword]Since when was mejrem considered old??
