Here are two ideas;
1. because the purpose of business is often making a profit($), there is a natural tendency to put humanistic considerations in the back seat when you are concentrating on making money. Especially when the business is a large corporation, where tasks are broken up into small portions and handled by many people, no one feels responsible for inhumane activity that may be a by-product of capitalism.
2. The victims of unethical behavior can be workers who may be required to work long hours for low pay, or work under dangerous conditions causing injury or disease. Other victims have been people who live in the neighborhood of a factory that is polluting causing birth defects and other sickness. Victims may also be consumers who purchase a product that turns out not to be safe, causing injury, ailments, and even death. - written 2 years, 9 months ago
