  I have no way of understanding your pain…I have never been in that situation, but I hope it gets better. A small bit of insight: I know it’s difficult and I know it might bring you what little pleasure you currently have, but try to kick the cocaine and alcohol when you’re at home. It might make you happier in the long run, and it might help you get a little more economic control/stability. Things will get better if you keep trying :)

• Every person is unique, you shouldn’t be ashamed of who you are.
  

  It’s rather inspirational and nice, but at the same time, constructive criticism can help you out. No single person knows everything, so it’s nice to hear what people have to say.
  
  I think the quote is more geared towards victims of senseless hate crimes. In that sense, when people are putting you down for no reason and you it makes you ashamed of who you are, don’t be.
  
  In a less dramatic sense - applying to average, ordinary people - don’t be someone else to get the girl or guy, or to get a job, because if you lie to them, you’re lying to yourself, and you might be unhappy with the outcome.
