I can understand why that’d be frustrating. Cause that’s all true of course, but like you were saying just listing something like “coping with trauma” doesn’t really transfer any kind of real understanding. Take a trauma like getting raped at a young age for instance.. Having that happen to you totally decimates your personality. A total loss of a sense of self isn’t something you could really convey. I don’t know.. sorry i had a better reply in mind, but I’m kinda running out of time. Maybe I’ll be able to add more later.

I think the best thing would be for you to attend an open speaker AA meeting (if you haven’t already). In my opinion, the only way to gain a true understanding of something like that would be to have gone through it yourself, and even then you might not totally understand, at least not about addiction in a totality kind of way, but you’d have gained a deeper understanding of yourself. So, the second option would be to hear someone else’s story, told through their own experiences, of what it was like for THEM, just like you’re looking for. No technical talk, just straight speaking from the heart. They’re free and open to the public and anyone can attend so no pressure. You don’t have to interact with anyone or get involved in any way if you don’t want to.

i have no idea why, but for some reason ReWritables don’t work in CD players. Usually, those are just used for data i guess (never actually used one). AS long as you use a CD-R you should be fine:)

are u sure you used a CD-R disc and not a CD-RW? ( that’s the only thing I could think of. that or maybe your CD player is really old? )

i know of some, or at least one thats free, but they don’t use the term “voodoo”
