2006-05-23 12:17:45 on transfer text or image to a wall
This is kind of an old-school technique, but I love using a good old overhead projector to project the lettering onto the wall, and then trace that with pencil, and then paint the outlines in. You can make a transparent sheet very easily by photocopying your text onto a sheet of acetate. The overhead projector makes it so easy to adjust the size right on the wall. Hope that helps!
2006-03-20 17:11:48 on why do you measure a wood frame diagonaly
Hmmm . . . I would measure it diagonally both ways, in order to tell if it was “square.” (Meaning, are all the sides straight, and all four corners at 90 degrees.)
If you measure both diagonals and the measurements match, the frame is “square.” If they don’t match, the frame isn’t “square.”
Hope that’s useful. Good luck on the interview!
