2008-05-20 14:43:10 on Does anyone know of any free websites that I can try and design a room or house in?
sketchup.com
free program, quick to learn. And furniture, appliances, etc from different manufacturers are available to download and include in your designs so you’ll know how it will actually look in real life.
2008-02-14 19:54:47 on what’s a “hicky”?
Yup, what gitrstb basically said.
It’s just a bruise really. Except it’s caused by a sucking action rather than a bump or other forceful blow to the tissues.
2008-02-14 19:50:04 on ok so everyone in high school … at least alot of ppl talk about penis sizes ….
There’s a big difference in “normal” and “average”.
I think you are looking for “average” here.
http://sexuality.about.com/od/anatomy…
Check there for a bit of info. Then you can do your own search, but search for “average” size, not normal.
2008-02-13 21:33:36 on I want to leave my husband.
Yeah, no killing of your husband please. We can’t encourage that here!
There are too many other options available for ya. So if it comes down to that, leave him and take your kiddos with ya. The consequences that come after the other decision will not help you out at all and is definitely not worth it.
Good luck with your “getting in shape” plan. And get your kids involved. They will help keep you motivated and it’s a good way to spend quality time with them. Take walks together, plan healthy meals together and cook them together, go for bike rides, go to the park and play together, etc. Your kids will enjoy the time with you and you will be living a healthy lifestyle while teaching your kids the same good habits.
2008-02-13 21:27:14 on I just finished building my first computer and i am having toubles starting it up.

2008-02-13 21:22:21 on Tom,Dave and harry work in a bank.
Ok, so the logical way to figure this out…
Tom can’t be the teller. The teller was an only child and Harry married Tom’s sister. So he can’t be an only child.
Harry makes more than the manager, so he can’t be the manager. He also can’t be the teller because the teller makes the least amount of money.
So Harry has to be the cashier.
Tom can’t be the teller or the cashier (because Harry is the cashier now), so Tom has to be the manager.
So that leaves Dave. Dave must be the lowly teller. Poor dude is having trouble living paycheck to paycheck.
2008-02-13 21:15:28 on My teacher has the personality of a roll of wrapping paper.
I only had one terrible math teacher when I was in school. The rest were great. But my first algebra class (actually pre-algebra), the teacher was absolutely horrible. She could NOT teach, in fact, I think the school eventually had to get rid of her because there were so many complaints from students and parents.
But anyway…so I didn’t learn a thing in that class and simply fell way behind. But our Algebra I teacher came to my rescue. She provided after school tutoring for students who needed it and my parents (being the good parents that they were) made me go to these tutoring classes. It wasn’t very long before I was caught up in everything and back on track.
So my suggestion to you is to try and find outside of class help. Check your after school tutoring programs, and if none of those are available…ask your parents to get you a private tutor. If you live near a university or college, check those local school papers or call the math departments. College students who are broke will often give tutoring lessons for a much smaller fee than “professional-type” private tutoring services.
Good luck.
2008-02-13 21:09:24 on My cat Lucy cries a lot.
Oh and yes. I’ll second Lrenah on this post as well. Your cat may be in heat if she has not been spayed. So, how to solve this annoying problem? Get her spayed. If this is the reason for her crying and constant need for attention then it will not go away. She’ll continue the behavior until she’s “satisfied”.
2008-02-13 21:07:45 on My cat Lucy cries a lot.
A free cat is going to cost you the same amount of money as an adopted one assuming you are doing your job as a pet owner and having them vaccinated.
Adoption costs cover these expenses and are often cheaper than if you get a free cat and then take him/her to the vet.
Check with your local shelters. Their adoption costs are usually reasonable because they want to find homes for the animals. Pet stores are trying to make a profit, so they will generally cost more.
And if you do find a free cat, I’m almost positive that it is free because it has never had a visit to a vet.
2008-02-13 20:59:50 on can some 1 help me i need to know the diff between interior architecture and interior design
Oh and which one is better? One is not necessarily better than another. What you should look for though is whether or not the program you are interested in is accredited.
An interior design department that is not accredited is just as good as an interior architecture program that’s not accredited.
But an interior design or interior architecture department that IS accredited, is going to be better than the non-accredited schools. (You’ll have a better chance of meeting licensure requirements for your state if you go to an accredited school.)
2008-02-13 20:57:25 on can some 1 help me i need to know the diff between interior architecture and interior design
Lrenah is correct! And she beat me to the answer!
Basically an Interior Architect degree is going to require you to learn more about the field of architecture along with your interior design education. (In my opinion it’s a little bit more rounded education - but a lot of great programs in interiors are just interior design.)
Keep in mind…Interior Architects are NOT, I repeat NOT, licensed architects. This is an entirely different degree, has completely different licensing requirements, etc.
The word “architect” and the many things it gets attached to creates a lot of confusion too, just like the whole confusion with interior design/architecture/decorators.
Interior decorators do not require a degree. (kind of like the difference in a daycare worker and a person holding a degree in early childhood education.)
2008-02-13 17:09:01 on i still don’t understand what notices are!
Yes, what everyone has already stated is correct. And I’ll add one other thing.
You also have the option to “subscribe to replies” which is another type of notice. This option is on all posts, and the link for this action is directly under the post. Clicking this will “subscribe” you to the replies of that post even if you haven’t replied.
So, notices are:
1. Any post where you make a reply, you will get a “notice” to let you know if there is a new reply following yours.
2. You will get a notice for new posts which fit your chosen “tags” and notices will be given when the site thinks you want to see the post (based on the questions you’ve answered in the past)
3. When you click the “subscribe to replies” option on a post.
Finally…you do have the option of “un-subscribing” to any notice you wish. This is to stop the notices you are receiving from a particular post which you are no longer interested in following or participating in.
To do this, go to your account admin. Then select “subscriptions”. Then select the posts which you no longer wish to receive notices from.
Hope that helped too.
