When I logged onto her profile she had about 1700 notices and 150 tags. I deleted all the tags but 1. Then checked off all the notices. I did not encounter any “oops” Like you said it must be on her end.
Hopefully we can get her fixed up somehow!
Well my eyes are getting blurry too. It’s bed time! Have a good night.
Yeah, I have no idea what the problem is. I asked her to tell me the tags she wanted, and I just logged in and added them, no problems or error pages at all.
So I’m assuming it has something to do with her browser settings, firewall, or something similar. I’m not the one to ask about diagnosing computer problems, but from what I could tell, it’s something completely on her end, not from help.com.
I haven’t heard back from her since I changed her tags, so I’ll just wait and see if she still has any problems.
I’ll also tell her to contact you as well, because I assume you understand more about the problems with the browsers, firewalls, and the like.
Wow, I’ve been reading online for several hours now (not here but other places). I didn’t realize how long I’ve been reading until I noticed I had to put on my glasses an hour or so ago so I could see, and now, even with the glasses I’m having trouble seeing. I think it’s time for a break.
Hi there my friend,
I hope you had a good Holiday Season. I see Santa brought you some new powers, heh heh
I see your also trying to help Orion as well. I tried to see what was going on from my view and did not have any troubles. I thought it might be her browser or java script. If she is still having problems maybe it’s her firewall? Or she is doing something incorrectly?
Oh, ok. For future reference, if you do leave something open in your coding on here, just redo the entire code but close it twice.
Example:
< b > text goes here < /b > < / b > — and of course don’t use the spaces when you are actually writing it.
Jeff actually suggested that I don’t use the spaces when writing an example, as it can be confusing. So if that confused you, let me write it the way he suggested:
text goes here — then replace the “[” with the “”.
Hopefully something in there makes sense to ya! Basically just rewrite but close twice. That will correct the problem.
(It won’t undo the error in the original reply though, but it will prevent the rest of the replies from staying bold).
Thank You Cady,
I could have sworn I did close the bolding html code. I don’t know what happened. I sure would like to know if it is possible for me to fix it, unfortunately Jeff has not got back to me.
Hey. Saw you questoin to jeff when I was asking him something.
The post where you bolded everything is the result of not closing the tag properly.
When you open the bold tag with < b >, make sure you end it with < /b >. That closes it. If you don’t close it, everything following will stay bold as well.
Hope that helps.
Oh, looks like someone already fixed the problem for ya in the post though.
Hi,
I hope you don’t mind me adding you to my friends list. I’ll try not to spam you, heh heh. It helps to see who is online in the posts, you can go down the list of friends and see who is on. It is helpful to know which other mods are on. Have a nice evening, I’m signing off for now.
:]
