I think for some people it makes sense, and those people get the surgery and live more happily, but I think some people just hate themselves and are confused, and should come to terms with what they are and what they have before making any huge, expensive decisions.

Stopping aid would not end hunger. It would probably kill some people, but there would be gigantic numbers of hungry people struggling to survive on the little they could come up with themselves because the ridiculous thought that dying would be better than suffering, than living, wouldn’t even cross their mind. It’s not something to consider.
