• Hi guys, this is a pretty normal question, and I guess you guys must get it a lot, but here goes.
  

  If you can possibly get her alone, just hold her hand and tell her how you feel. Looking into her eyes would help, but I’d imagine you’ll be really nervous, so that will be difficult. If you don’t want to do that, try to just subtly let her know you care by giving her flowers or candy or things she likes until you build up enough confidence.
  
  Be kind and respectful, but don’t completely change for her.

  It doesn’t help, because I can’t make myself think that it’s true. In my heart I will always know the truth, so I can’t convince myself otherwise.
  
  Like with that, for example. A lot of people grow up in abusive homes, and eventually, things get better for them. They grow up, move out, and live happily ever after. The scar is always there, but they learn ways to cope. They can go on to do great things.
  
  I mean, my life hasn’t been perfect. Sometimes my dad gets so mad that I have to hide in the bathroom.
  
  But in three more years, I can move out and live a happy life.

  Thank you. In about a month, I will be staying with my boyfriend for the summer, and he doesn’t have Internet at his house so I won’t be able to look at that stuff even if I want to.

  Sit at home, do school work, and play with my dog. In my free time, I usually like to do things on my computer. I spend a lot of time thinking about what I want to do with my life.
