i’m looking for a web designer who would be willing to put in some volunteer time, to build my church website. Right now I’m just using the free builder my hosting company has… I’d like something a little more professional.
Nah, I didn’t get that mixed up ^^ I was trying to separate my comment on that website from my question about if you had your game planned out, but I didn’t put it right.
Ah. Didn’t you mention that you wanted to make a text adventure game? It can still be planned even before you get familiar with a programming language, although afterwards also works.
Pretty low-level programming stuff by today’s standards. It was the style back then ^^ http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia…
Interesting. That’s pretty good stuff. Mineccraft comes to mind, but this looks as if it will actually go farther and better.
Do you already have your game planned out?
Haha. The same terminology problem happened to me years ago, since I also started with HTML before I moved onto C++ and so on. ^^ I get what you mean. It’s a good place to start all around.
JavaScript is also a lot of fun. I think you’ll really enjoy the programming when you get to it.
Groovy I am not familiar with. I’ll have to check it out. One of my hobbies is programming (it’s related, but not a large part of my career, heh), and I’ve been working on a text-based game as well. Although not an adventure game, more along the lines of Rogue. Are you familiar with it? It’s a very old, classic computer game.
Welcome to this website =)
You’ve been here for 3 months already, but still… first shout ^^
As a quick tutorial on shouts, remember to click ShoutTrail next to someone’s shout before replying or it ends up in your own ShoutBox. See where it says, “Leave a shout for ___” to double-check on who it’s going to.
So, one of your replies said that you’re interested in programming. How far along are you in learning programming so far?
You must be registered and validated to leave shouts to other users.
