My name is Peter King and I’m lucky enough to live in magical Cape Town in South Africa. I’m a web professional and business owner and my speciality is building websites for second hand car dealers. I’m not the bigget car nut, and I’m a little embarrassed to say that of all the second hand cars that are on our site, mine is the least lovely! It’s an old Mercedes Benz station wagon and every car dealer that I see tries to sell me a new car!
I’m most interested in the way things function and I like to create user experiences that offer value - I’m a no clutter, no nonsense kind of person and I don’t buy into fads. If a user has a hard time finding a car on a web site, then it’s a clear signal that I’ve not done my homework - and I pride myself in making websites really simple for the user.
Apart from design and development, I’m an outdoors man. The summer months see me fishing and climbing and in winter, mountain biking and trail running keep my mind and body healthy. Ever practical, I find that this extends all the way to cooking, where I have been known to fuss over a dish for hours until it’s just right. I’m also a big fan of BBQ where we cook and grill cuts of chicken, lamb and veggies over the coals.
