• i want to leave my boyfriend, i feel he has become abusive.
  

  I am responding to try to share my strength and hope. You see I was abused from the moment I came out of my mother’s tummy. I don’t know but if I had to guess I wouldn’t be surprised if you have been abused buy someone else in the past. Just a quess. Anyway, because of the abuse I constantly picked abuseres. What you said about your fear of picking another abuser I find to be very insightfull on your part! Because it is highly likely. I put it this way, because I only knew abuse my picker got broken. I finally realized I DID NOT deserve to be treated badly! I am a good person with a good heart! So I stayed in a shelter (with my two kids,) got intense therapy, temporarly stopped dating and focused all of my strength on healing. That was not easy! I had to relive the abuse and deal with feelings and memories I had hoped never to remember! I had to relive it because my defense mecinisim was to forget everything and the only way to get over it was to be a part and feel the pain. At times it seemed too much for me to bare. But now I feel so much relief!
  The point is, he will not get better, only worse. I know change is scary, but you are so special and you ARE strong! You have to push yourself to make the first move. After that you will start to regain your power and you will feel it. You’ll feel yourself getting stronger. You already know you must leave (I’m so proud of you for realizing that! Get a support system going. Tell people, it gives you more power. (Don’t tell everyone but do tell your mom and dad and people who are close to you.) Once you’ve told them I will make it much easier to leave. Get counseling to figure out why you would let yourself be treated like that and how to keep it from happening again. If you don’t click with your therapist, find another. They won’t be offended, they understand. I know you’re scared to be on your own, but you’ve done it before. You are STRONG. You can do it! I have all of the faith in the world in you!
  I wish we could talk or email directly. I’d love to be there to give you support! By the way, I opened my email and said I am not blogging or writing anything for any reason. Then I read your post and I knew I had to respond. I can tell you are very smart. I know you’re going to make the right decision.

  The first step would be to stop having careless sex. You’re lucky you only have a problem with your balls. What if it is the first stages of HIV? Pretty scary thought huh?!!!! I’m pretty sure it’s not but never the less you need to go to a doctor asap because if you mess around with it, it could make you sterile or worse. And for pitty’s sake don’t have sex until you’ve seen the Dr. and are cleared up. Have a concious please and don’t infect some poor unsuspecting girl!
