  could go into the whole symbolisim of rings and all the rest of it, but a symbol is just that a symbol of something, not the actual thing itself.
  You haven’t lost his love, you have lost a (gold?) band that sat around your finger in your day-to-day life. Yes it may have been a nice ring, but a ring is still just a ring and love is still love (… my soppiest post thus far).

  … ok, let me make this clear from the start, im not here to brag nor to bring you down, but offer advice (that is, offering advice, up to you if you take it).
  
  Shyness is never the answer to this particular question (my interpertation of the question is, “how can i get this woman to see me in a different light?”), I suppose the answer would be something as poetic as “move into a different light”.
  
  Yes you have been friends forever, and to be honest, that is usually not a strong start point if you are looking for a relationship that is more then “friends”. People usually form impressions (right and wrong) about someone in the first 90 seconds, this “woman” seems to have known you for a while, and changing that established impression is, well, very, very difficult (*note* not impossible).
  
  I guess that if you want to be seen, then be seen. Don’t try and hide behind the excuse of, “im a shy person, but if you took 30 seconds to talk to me you would find im really very interesting.” Because any using any excuse is hiding.
  
  Now for the part of this post that will perhaps start a fire (as in flaming), back off this girl. (now i need to find cover). Actually give her the chance to miss you, DO NOT email her like 30 times a day, DO NOT call her 5 times a day, and (the whole point here) DO NOT be too, “clingy”.
  
  (and if i could whisper you the following, “DO NOT care what other people think about you.”, you have no right to know and almost none will tell the complete truth)

  There could be a plethora of reasons for this, as has been said before, viruses and spyware can contribute.
  Another thing is that your hard disk may be fragmented as well (basically all the little blocks of information are messed up and your computer cannot access them in the best order).
  Some types of hard disk failure can cause this as well (although i havent seen that in for over 15 years now - old MFM HDD).
  Dodgy ram (Although in most cases this results in a BSOD - Blue Screen of Death).
  And also a very bad operating system is going to be the biggest offender (If you really want to stuff up your computer fast installing Windows ME on it is regarded as the fastest way).
  Ive personally found that the best way of keeping systems up to speed is after every 6 months or so, i back up the important data (documents, pictures, music etc) and format/reinstall windows on the machine and *bing* back to new again. Although before you do this, id suggest you know what drivers you are going to need (chiefly, graphics, sound, modem (if you have), and any other “unusual” devices (video capture cards, IDE controllers etc)).
  But honestly, id start out with a virus scan and adware scan first and then defragment can be found in the Accessories - > System tools menu. It may take a while (especially if it is your first time) but it usually does the trick.

  The very strange thing about this entire post, is that first one Setto posted is actually 100% accurate, “Because Elmo and big bird said so”.
  When you are going up as a child and everything is still new, you need a way of identifying things, and if a role model (parent, grandparents, Elmo) says something is something then it quite simply is.
  However, with ALL languages, they derive from two basic needs, Food and sex.
  If you compare the sheer number of words that can be used for food, it really is quite surprising.
  Humans, being animals that find it more beneficial to share information (who knows, Zog may know where the best berries are) rather then horde it. By identifing a common dialog you can more quickly spread the news that Zog is the best berry finder (and more importantly where these berries are). Since the young will also need to know this information, Parents (or Elmo) will pass it on to them as well.
  By the way, tree is not a tree in every language, in much the same way that Inuits (eskimo’s) have many different words used for “snow”.
  The second part of the basic needs (sex), well now, you have probably been able to work that part out for yourself already :)

  Ive heared of a technique of coating them with suger. I cant quite remember the exact way it happened, but you need to bring the sugar to about 110 C and drip the jellyfish in it, remove, dry the jellyfish. and repeat this process about 5-7 times or so. Basically it is similar to way you sugar coat fruits (oranges and lemons for example). should be able to get something fishing google with “preserves”
