None of us are happy all the time. Sorrow is as natural as death. We must allow, and recognize our sorrow. But we can not have darkness without light, Death without life, rain without sunshine… Sorrow without JOY. Your sorrow is a measurement of your JOY… for as Sorrowful as you have felt, you will (when you are in balance) feel just as much JOY. Rejoice in your sorrow, knowing that you Joy has been… or will be just as GREAT! Your family is not always living under the same roof as you. Meaning, sometimes the closest people to your heart are not your parents or siblings… and that’s ok. While we are all connected…we are still individuals. Here is the rest of the exercise. For 10 minutes every day (till the end of June) I want you to spend some time infront of the mirror. I want you to see your scars, but instead of seeing the pain that you’ve attached to them… see them as visible signs of the JOY you feel, or are going to feel… for there is NO pain without a matching JOY. Take those visible signs of JOY, and wrap them around yourself and as you hug yourself, say to your reflection; “I’m a Great person, and I love ME”. This will be difficult at first. Cry if you feel like it… remember your sorrow is always matched with JOY! As it gets easier and easier to say… bringing a smile to your face, you will begin to spread this inner joy you are obtaining… AS you spread your joy, you start to get joy BACK. Everying in this universe is cyclical… you can count on this. If you do this exercise EVERY DAY till the end of next month… you will have created new neuron pathways in your brain. This is a very physical thing… new nerve paths are CREATED allowing you to have a habit of self love. And it is from a place of self love where these changes you seek come from. OMG.. .by the end of June you wont recognize yourself :)) There are other things you will have to do later…but THIS is where you want to start.
