Yourabi does not see anything wrong with your banner. It applies to help.com and what you are trying to do. He cares more about people advertising loans or trying to make money. Which he cant see either of these on your banner :)
So yeah - basically you can change the link back. Sorry it took such a long time to get back to you :S

I do not know who closed/deleted that post. I did read it and did see there were a couple of nasty replies on it from Anonymous people. I havent been on the site very much in the last week. Personal lady problems. Not a good moderator if I cant keep my hormones in check lol. You could check with Anthrax or Papa Bear. They have been active the last week.

About your advertising. I have seen your shouts - thank you for replying. I can see your side of the argument. I can only recommend you shout Yourabi the new Admin and see exactly where you stand. I have told other users off for advertising their websites and products. Same rule applies. I appreciate that you are only trying to help people. The rules on advertising are a little unclear at times. Best to check with the main man - as Ken said in a few shouts below. He has the final word on things. For now I recommend (as a friend and not a Mod) that you dont put the banners in your posts until you have heard from Yourabi.

OMG… I’m so sorry that is so long a rebuttal.. Please forgive me, but I think it states my point clearly. (I hope).

Ditzy… thank you for your shout it is appreciated, I would like to present my side however.

First this issues was addressed very early on my tenure with this site, and I was found to be within the websites rules. The FAQ and TOS does NOT prohibit advertising - IF the product or services are relevant to the post. In all honesty, my practice is relevant to a good many posts to this website. My practice however, no matter how relevant it may be, it is not a service that I feel many will go for, which is why I do not advertise it. I do not try to redirect traffic from this helps site to seek my coaching. I’ve never done that. I see what I do here as pro bono coaching, and I do that for my own personal reasons. What I do is this; I have written a book that is very relevant to many posts here. The title of the book is, “Can someone please tell me why my life sucks?!” I offer this book free to any and all help.com memebers and I tell them this up front. For the sake of expedience I then refer the user to my site where they can learn more about the book… and where they can find my email to request a copy (since we are not supposed to list emails here). I am not selling anything… I’m giving away a book. I would be honored if you (or any of the mods) email me so that I could send you a copy of the book. It is actually a very good little book… I wish more people were interested in it.

I would like this issue to be reviewed… all I am doing is giving away my book to those that say EVERYTHING is bad… and they don’t know where to turn. I give it away to anyone that asks… the only place I can do this and remain within the rules of help.com is on my own website. I cannot make a post here for people to refer to in order to find out about the book… I’m not really supposed to post emails (obviously because of the censors) I really think my book is relevant… and could help many… how does help.com suggest I get that into the hands of our membership? Remember… I’m not selling the book… I never sell my services… Please look at the replies again. If you believe them to be spam… well that might just be because as you know the posts here tend to be cyclical… there are times when everyone wants to post, my life sucks… and other times when that is all quiet. Please let me know what the other mods, and admins say (I feel I am within my rights here) you can research one of my very first posts… it was closed down for this reason, and later reopened. I would hate to be restricted in GIVING away what I feel is helpful information.

Hi Richard. Hope you are well? Moderator visit Im afraid.
I have noticed that on a lot of your posts you are advertising your website and your counseling. Help.com does not permit advertising as stated in the TOS. Other users have been ‘told off’ for advertising. It is the same rule for the goose and the gander. You can advertise your website in your own profile but please do not do it on your posts any more.

Lulu.com is a self publishing site. It’s free, and you only make money when you sell books… Lulu sets up the productions costs…adds a small fee, and then the author places their royalty amount… it’s all added up to a total price of the book. I’m still learning about the publishing industry and how that part of being an author is all about.
