hardly a soap box, i actualy spoke here instead of on one of your posts becuase i thought it would be more private. also the rest of what i only been responding to what you say on my soap box, and i don’t have such a devote following as you, so while my words mean nothing to the others who support you, your words could effectively blacklist me. but read on I’m not just squabbling, there seems to be a misunderstanding here.

you missed the point of the last thing i said. i wasn’t talking about an addiction to you, what you teach, or happiness. your preaching can come with many side effects you seem to ignore (a side effect of pain medication is commonly dependency). i attempt to address points of view relating to these side effects like a little warning label, while you continue scraping that label off. its not like im the powerful one, you don’t need to be so emphatic about puny little me unless you feel threatened by a fine print warning label. (fine print as in most people look at and ignore)

on a different note, yes you can be addicted to happiness in an unhealthy way. when its not real. and real happiness is not something you can guarantee from your preaching, but it is what you lead people on to believe, and for those where it is not real, the addiction can be very very unhealthy. but this (what i said about unreal happyness) can be ignored since its not the point i was trying to make to you here.

oh yeah, am i happy, truly happy, no. but thats ok. i’m content. happyness is fleeting, thats why its so special, otherwise it becomes the status quo. which while better than bad, would be flavorless, lackluster, and insubstantial thing we just are, when it should be a deep and profound revelation. its like handing out self realization in simple pill form. you can’t do it, and shouldn’t even if you could. so while i have been truly happy only a slight few times in my life, and am not now, im content to wait until happiness visits once again, even if that wait is a whole lifetime.

if you have a more private channel you would hear me through, i’d be glad to get off of this “soap box” of yours for anything else we have left to discuss. but to leave this on a friendlier note. i’m not calling you out as a bad-guy. like the miracle of modern medicine that pain medication is, you do very much good for very many people, and i wouldn’t ever try to stop you,… unless you really did turn out to be the devil ;)

the first part i deleted… it pretty much said you are being a very little man in the conversation. you ARE being arrogant. and if you were the devil you’d be doing a great job with the wolf in sheep’s clothing routine. but its the next part that was more important and i didn’t want to be overlooked…

why am i so emphatic about this, becuase you have power,,, alot of it… you can help many people, but you can also ruin them as well, which you seem to deem yourself incapable/inculpable of, and this is simply not the case… so thats why i sometimes get bent out of shape, becuase i see the potential of your words to be misused and become disastrous… and when i mean misused, i don’t mean the same way a pencil can be misused to kill someone. i mean the way pain medication can be misused to create a painful dependency. your pain medication does not come with the warning lable, “warning, may cause dependency” i’m adding it… (and its not addiction or addiction to you im talking about, just so it wouldn’t be misunderstood)

wow… thats the most arrogant response i’ve ever received. and no, i don’t think you need my perspective of realism, you’d likely plug a bullet between your eyes if you had that, no i want you to get your own perspective of realism, because im not sure you have very much perspective at all… when you fancy yourself on a pristine pedestal so high above the lowly likes of myself, everything becomes 2 dimensional. black and white. and i understand that you see the black and seek to make things white, but we live in a gray world richard, you aren’t perfect and neither is your advice… if you can’t stand criticism maybe you should get a mod to silence me… and if you can’t save yourself the pompous quips (”i doubt it”) then maybe you should live the life of the darkside for a day. we ridicule people all day, but live a day in their lives and maybe then we’ll have some PERSPECTIVE on both the good and the bad that co-exist in this world…

I do not know who closed/deleted that post. I did read it and did see there were a couple of nasty replies on it from Anonymous people. I havent been on the site very much in the last week. Personal lady problems. Not a good moderator if I cant keep my hormones in check lol. You could check with Anthrax or Papa Bear. They have been active the last week.

About your advertising. I have seen your shouts - thank you for replying. I can see your side of the argument. I can only recommend you shout Yourabi the new Admin and see exactly where you stand. I have told other users off for advertising their websites and products. Same rule applies. I appreciate that you are only trying to help people. The rules on advertising are a little unclear at times. Best to check with the main man - as Ken said in a few shouts below. He has the final word on things. For now I recommend (as a friend and not a Mod) that you dont put the banners in your posts until you have heard from Yourabi.

(for the first shout)Believe me, I want our admin to look into that post/user as well. Most of the posts we have with adds are pretty straight up as you may know. “Buy this, sign up here” posts from new
users. When it comes to things like what you two have I really am not sure how to handle it.

(for the second shout)Like I said, I’m not sure how it fits in. I find your logic in why it should be allowed to be right on. For now you can leave them up. I would encourage you to leave the admin a shout so that in the future when someone says something about it you can go “this is what the admin said” hehe. About the book. But in 100% honesty, no one reported the
ad. The attack on thep from the anon
was reported by a few people, but no
reports on you. That is my word to you,

I have some weird feelings about this place.
I will most likely be quiting as a mod once

There seems to be a problem with your ads.
You see, when a site implies it needs
personal information or money for someone
to use it we call that an ad. On the page
that your banner leads to it says
” Call me now: your first 3 minutes are
FREE at Ingenio ” Implying that it costs
money after that. To me it is an ad.
Once we get our admin back full time I
encourage you to contact him because I could
be wrong about that being an ad. But for
the time being I am asking you remove those banners. Nothing personal.
