That blows, having the one you love leaving. It’s really kinda strange living alone, I’ve only done it on short stints a few months here and there. Being a hopeless romantic, but this is when you get to send snail mail and things that make it all the better for when you are together. I’m sure if she heard it, she’d be happily emo with you. :)

…A few nights ago I dreamt of dragons—it was relatively unpleasant, the end.

That line could not be more appropriately timed since my g/f just left last tuesday. I was almost emo enough to post anonymously here about it too! Well, ok, not really, but it does suck.

It’s weird how quiet and lifeless a home feels with no one else (cept 2 cats) in it. This is actually the first time in my life i’ve lived “by myself”, so it’s weird. Grew up with 3 brothers, had roommates through college and out of it, moved here with g/f and that’s the timeline of my living conditions.

Uhm, yeah, so tomorrows short story will be about dragons! (Much more exciting than today’s.)

I don’t do Halo — that’s a console game, and console games are dirty.

Actually though, your nerddom is disappointing. Face huggers (aka, Headcrabs) are from most famously from HalfLife, not Halo. Then again, as Halo is a console game, I can’t attest to knowing if it has such a thing, all I know it’s it’s got another guy in a suit shooting things.

Mine are less night aggravating. Instead, they like to wake you up by crawling up you chest and laying down right on your throat. It’s totally awesome. Not only can you not breathe, but even if you could, it’s a mouth full of cat fur.

having cats is fun, but less so when they lick your leg—jump off your face and act like a monster is trying to eat their tail, all after only a few hours of sleep—and then you can’t get back to bed or figure out what they want or need.

Since we’re an international family, he’s the one who’s had girlfriends on several different continents…when he went to Brazil, he couldn’t get his visa extended and they had a hell of a time, he ended up coming home instead of saying another year.

Maybe flying out of another country and jumping trains or flights would work better for you? I know that’s how my brother would see his Swiss-miss. ;)

I’ve been sneaking in and out on occasion. Things aren’t going well — her three month stay limitation is hitting on the 20th and my company was not able to sponsor her “get it here” visa. So she has to fly back to the US to get it done there. Really, really stupid rule. Plus it’s going to break my bank to do so. Grrr. And that doesn’t even account for how she’ll get back :(

Otherwise, things are ok.
