sullyoffice is my skype. I am in Tianjin China teaching English! This is the best job ever! I highly recommend it. Its holiday break now. So, after I work a really intense winter English camp, I am going to travel China for about 6 weeks! I am going to Hubei and then to very western China and then hopefully to a third pace before returning.

I was very busy earlier and did not notice I had 3 shouts! Yell at me on skype! That will always get my attention.

Ahhh yes, I had forgotten that another of the ‘good ones’ were taken (they all seem taken :) That is amazing though, and I’m truly happy for you. this last relationship taught me so much. First and foremost… negativity, is not going to part of my next. The yelling that you talk about… I won’t miss it either. My ex would yell at me, “I’m not a pessimist, I’m a realist!” Screw that… not in my real world babe. lol… The biggest thing I learned is that I don’t have to stay in a relationship to fix myself, or anyone else. If it’s not working it plain is not working. Of course fixing it is always a valiant thing to do, but if it aint getting fixed (together), banging your head on the wall will not fix it either.

I know I must sound like I am looking longingly at the closed door… but in reality what I’m looking for is to see another picture of her now. I know I will not be surprised by the ugliness I will see. But thank you dear for your touching words of truth. I am past this woman that I love, and I am well ready for the woman that will journey with me to the end :) What are YOU doing next weekend ;)

I’m glad to hear about the dreams:) Before long they will be gone. Actually, if you say to yourself before sleeping, “I’ve handled this I don’t need to dream it anymore”…. they’ll go. Bad dreams are no fun. I find myself dreaming about my ex lately. It’s screwed because they are mostly nice dreams… I did love her, but I’ve found out that she never really loved me. Not in anyway that was long term. I dunno… I suppose that is my choice though, and I’ll have to live with it. It is my choice to continue to love her, while knowing that we are not good for each other. ****hugs D with just as much passion **** I think you’d like my hugs :)

again, I’ll say that a therapist can only tell you what the dream means to THEM, not what it means to you. So, in the end only you can say what it means. Are you starting something new in your life now? Are you having difficulty with someone, or something? To me this dream might mean that something in my life is working out right for me, I might be thinking of stopping or changing it. To me this is a dream about guilt… but what guilt? Does it have to be related to your fathers death; no. It can be any guilt that you might be going through right now.

I only vaguely remember that. I’m sorry to hear about that dear. They say that our dreams are our ego’s way of working things out even while we sleep. Jung has taught us though that no one can truly interpret another persons dreams. But I would venture to guess the dreams come back during the same times… times of stress, or time of feeling secure. Times when family gathers.. maybe time of the year? Can you remember and make any comparisons between last time you had the dreams and now?

Fear not the initial confusion over choices in protective bubblewrap for your PC. Most security apps are now pretty much on auto-pilot for the express benefit of newbies. Your learning curve should be oriented toward identifying and avoiding fraudulent offers for said bubblewrap. (trust me, you’ll be much better at this than your kids, which is why I maintain that no kid should touch the parent’s PC) OTOH, IMHO kids shouldn’t be allowed their own PC unless it’s placed in a public/family area and has certain features enabled to ensure safe/wise surfing. None of this “I vant to be alone” stuff. (easy for me to say, I don’t have any rugrats)
Don’t fret misspellings! I’d have never known had you not told me… someday I might even admit to my foibles. (I got plenty)

I practice very safe computer - I’ve downloaded hundreds upon hundreds of programs, but simple precautions have kept my PC clean for years:

My original thought about boring telescope feeds (and a desire to keep discoveries close to the vest until publication) means there apparently are only a few, and they go on and off line. If you’re interested, I’ll post the links on the WWT thread. Your step dad’s maxim is basically correct. The unmentioned qualifiers inherent within that saying range from - free unsolicited advice needs to be further vetted (the hidden cost) to solicited but over-priced “professional” advice STILL needs to be researched/confirmed.

Speaking of pros, I hope the plumber did a good job for a fair price. Best to always know where the shut off valve is, and to keep a few hose clamps and rubber patches handy!

I was about to crash when you asked about real-time WWT images. You mean like a live street web cam, only linked to Hubble… or old man Smith’s backyard telescope? I doubt it but honestly don’t know. It’d likely be pretty boring, nothing like the colorized photos the PR dept releases unless you happen to be watching when the sun goes nova. Oooh my eyes my eyes I’m blind! As for crossbows, wouldn’t use one to hunt. Far too inaccurate. Works fine to scare off encyclopedia and vacuum salesmen, though.

BTW- You closed your plea for help with a BT (brainless twit, i.e., pain-in-the-butt ex) many moons ago, but I just read it and wanted to throw in my ha’penny. I suspect the “problem” hasn’t gone away and it likely won’t unless the BT is struck by a meteorite. I’ve watched (from afar) as a good friend struggled to be a decent mother and sole provider to 2 sprogs (just larnt that bit o’slang) while the BT caused endless hassles. I agreed wholeheartedly with her decision early on to remain the responsible/mature one and avoid badmouthing the BT, positing that since kids are brighter than they appear, in all likelihood the years of thankless effort should be rewarded. She bit her tongue raw in the early years as the kids oft said that BT was “great” (read a lenient, fun-loving, transient “pal”) and whined how she was too strict day in and day out. (setting rules, boundaries, being on the mommytrack as a full-time parent AND full-time rising star in her field) Well, 15 years have passed. The BT is still a right royal layabout and a-hole (never paying support, filing legal challenges at every turn, badmouthing her, questioning her parenting, etc), but the kids have turned out great. They’re finally beginning to recognize who’s their REAL friend and parent, a bond that’ll last a lifetime as they lose all respect for the BT. Took an enormous amount of self-determination and self-control for her to hold the line. (far more than I have… I’d have offed the BT long ago) Since you can’t reason with youngsters without it coming off as sour grapes, let the BT hoist himself on his own petard, slowly and surely. Remember, revenge is a dish best served cold. Best to you.
