oh darn another long day at work, i’d rather be doing something else like climbing mt. everest

i can imagine how cold that must feel, i use to work in a freezer that was -10 and after 30 secs my fingers were already numb with gloves. its warm here today in carolina but they were calling for severe weather and maybe tornados. the sky looked kinda creepy on the way to work this morning also.

i don’t know why but it feels so comforting talking with you, its almost like i’ve known you from some other place in time.

no but i see her almost every weekend, we get along good and stuff, she can just be a little moody sometimes, lol.

man that sucks, i use to know a few people that suffered from insomnia. i hope i never get it but hope you can get rid of yours.

no sleep thats not good, you don’t have that insomnia i hope. i could fall asleep right now at my desk but that wouldn’t set too well with the big bossman, lolz. i wish my mom would go walking with me, everytime i’m around though seems like she’s putting me to work.

oh nothing much, just got into work about 30 mins ago, ate breakfast yada yada yada, full as a blood sucking parasite, lol.

See it this way.. my stepdad (well ex stepdad now) played in a band for quite a while when he was young. He was the bassist but he sucked so bad at it, that they’d unplug him when playing live while a second bassist was doing the whole job and he wouldn’t even notice haha How lame is that? lol Seriously, this is so much worse than lip sync isn’t it?! I’m sure you could do better than that. haha

Well, can you play the triangle!? The wooden fish? (well, not that I really use that one in my songs though, but everyone can play lol)Oh, or the tambourine if you have a little more experience!? haha I’m sure we can find something. :D

haha well sadly I already realised life can be really shit too long ago, but maybe if I keep lying to myself I’ll end up believing my own positive lies!
Or I could just join a band once and for all, go on tour, release an album, get rich and get smashed every night after concerts and never have to wonder about these things again. haha j/k

hehe yeah of course, to stop thinking of the futur is practically to stop living, cause then once the moment’s gone, there’s no more “moments” to follow the last if you haven’t thought of anything. :)

I know what you mean. I’m a poor musician soon to be a poor student too. What a good mix, financially I mean. lol So even when the opportunities arise, sometimes you can’t take them, sometimes there’s just not enough time.. but I’m sure that day will come when we can truly do whatever we want or at least a lot more than we do now. I think it’ll just keep getting better if we think it will. :)

hehe well, if you think he seems different and can’t stop thinking of him, you may still have time to fix everything up with him then. Just take it really slowly, like give him a couple of signs you like him at least. :D I don’t know, it’s worth a try. If you like him but let him go in case it could turn out wrong again, you may be missing out. hehe Who knows, he may just be thinking the same. A lot of the time with the guys I’ve liked, it turned out both of us scared the hell out of each other and wasted so much time running away, playing this sort of hide and seek game. :D

Well, when I mean I want to be grateful for what I have, I mean I want to enjoy the moment. I don’t mean being satisfied with things and stop dreaming and just settle for less. That would be so horrible. Wow, the thought of routine is yeah, horrible. lol I agree, these people tend to be, well, quite dull. Dreaming and looking for more is way too important I think. What I want is to live each thing as it happens regardless of how much better it could be.. truly appreciate something for what it is while I’m waiting for the next best thing to come along. In other words, live. I guess that’s what I meant. :)

Yeah that’s true. Well, I don’t think everyone is like that, I mean, some people live fully without wondering too much wether they’re doing the right thing or not (or at least they SEEM not to be wondering lol) and I guess I’d like to be *that*. Just living without taking everything for granted and just appreciate things as they come and be grateful these things happened if they ever go. Instead, I long for what’s gone or what I don’t have and neglect what I do have.

Oh, the ideal man.. let’s not even start on that subject. I met the man I thought and well, still think is my ideal man and wow, I messed things up big time too lol I know exactly what you mean by giving the wrong signals! It’s weird yeah, when I really like someone, it’s like I do everything for for them to think I don’t care about them, almost… It is partly a fear of being hurt, but also an independence issue I think.. like I’m afraid if I show people how much I like them, they may feel threatened and I don’t want to scare them off.. I don’t want them to think I need them. but by not showing them what I feel at all, I lose them anyway cause they think I’m just so uninterested. I think. lol

I guess my ideal man situation was a little more complicated due to my actual relationship, but still, even if I had been single when I met him, I’m sure I would have done the same as you did. lol

haha Well, enjoy it while you can cause you’re probably better off single to be honest. lol The right time will come.

In my case, my boyfriend may be a great guy, but relationships can be hell. Sometimes I think it’d be so much easier if I was single! but now that I’ve been with him for so long, I just can’t leave him!

It comes back to this thing again.. Can’t I just be grateful for what I’ve got? Why always have to wonder if I’m in the right place or if somewhere else could be better? I’m not sure how to enjoy things while they’re happening as I want too many things at the same time. Ah, neverending. lol

yeah I know, it’s the same with my brother, he’s not motivated enough. he just assumes he’s not good enough instead of trying.. and assumes everyone else thinks he’s not good enough automatically. It’s a bit sad really.

haha Yeah it’s better to just have high expectations of ourselves.. especially in a relationship or it can drive your boyfriend mad. :D I know, my boyfriend tells me all the time how annoying I am. :) I’m surprised I’m not single too. lol I even annoy myself sometimes.
Perfectionism can be good, but so destructive at the same time. I guess I still need to figure out how to balance it all properly!

haha yeah that’s very true. we can’t seem to ever be happy with what we’ve got. There’s always something more you could have or do. My family is like a bunch of perfectionists on top of it all.. That’s not always a good mix. :)

haha yeah well I say average class cause I’m not sure what the english term really is. All I know is I’m from a very normal family too.. well I say normal, depends what angle you look at them from haha but financially, yes pretty normal. :D

I feel sorry for your brothers, it’s kind of the same for mine. hehe I’m the second one in the family and already I feel the pressure from my older sister, but my 2 younger brothers are getting it so much worse! One of my brothers in particular is always sooo paranoid about these things and even thinks my mum prefers me and my sister. That’s ridiculous! he blames us all the time too.

But yeah, that’s life I guess. Just be grateful for being the first one. lol

Hey! Well thanks. hehe It’s funny no one has ever compared my music to Moby, but that’s interresting. I like some of Moby stuff so I don’t take it in a bad way. :) And most people who have their song put on an advert seem to become famous, I guess I should try to go that way. haha

That’s brilliant! haha none of us knew if the other was a girl or guy. :D I actually had no idea, so now that clarifies things. I was wondering, but I had a tendency to think you were a guy too. haha that’s so funny. And I’m not worried hehe I’m perfectly straight too!

yeah posh POSH. But that’s ok, it’s just funny. I’m really not from an upper class background myself.. I mean my family wasn’t poor either, I guess I’m just from the average class. :) I have nothing against anyone though, I agree, we’re all just humans after all.

I hate that email address, it’s from when I was back in highschool, so it’s the name of a stupid song, but what can I say, no matter how many times I gave my real email to friends, they just don’t get it and keep using this old one. Not that it matters. lol

Well, the area around where I live is REALLY posh. If anyone who doesn’t come from east London is seen as posh, well let’s just say that my neiborhood is ridiculously posh then. lol It’s really funny cause it’s just a bunch of millionaire people everywhere, and suddenly there’s our house right in the middle occupied by students. hehe

Tim Kay, eh? I didn’t know him so I just checked his MySpace, and nope, it’s not me. Well, I don’t think so.I mean, if I’m a guy, I never knew! Plus, the music I make sounds very different. Sorry to disapoint you. lol I’d say the latest stuff I recorded is more along the lines of Sigur Ros, but I’m also working on a more upbeat project. I have a couple of tracks on MySpace, but these have no vocals and are more experimental.. It’s not a serious page or band name either, but it gives you an idea.

haha yeah I know. I worked with a couple of people from Essex before, and they all had their own excuse. like one of them kept precising that she’s actually from East London and that okay, it’s not that much better, but at least it’s not Essex.. and another one keeps saying “I swear it’s temporary”. lol That’s funny.

Where I live it has its downside too, I’m surrounded by posh people, seriously. It’s almost depressing how my neighboor own this huge house, and like one of the front rooms is about 10 times the size of my flat, and yet it’s an empty room with a cello and a chair.. just for the kid to practice! And the kid probably doesn’t even care!

If you already feel that way about these “dead, no-spark, un-spontaneous cummuters”, then there’s nothing to worry about, you’ll never be that. Staying focused on ambition is what keeps us alive. :) I see what you mean though, I look at those people and feel like, ugh, I don’t ever wanna be that. Surely the point of life is to work so you can live, not live to work. They all seem so lifeless. Becoming one of them has to be my worst fear. lol

hehe yeah I suppose it’s not that bad, but then it means I never get a rest, when I sleep I even dream about writting music. :) Well, it’s hard to say what I make, I have different projects with different styles.. but mainly rock, post rock, experimental, electronica..like a mix of them. :D I’m not in a band for now, I did before, now I’m just solo.. waiting to find the right people to form another band. Do you use msn or something? I guess I could give you a link to some of my stuff, which would be more explanatory than me trying to describe it. :P

Ouch yeah, wether you like what you’re doing or not, I suppose saying “the job I’ll be doing most of my life” is a slightly unpleasant idea.. but it might aswell be something you enjoy, so that’s perfect.

And hey if you ever wanna play the guitar, I suppose I’m able to teach. :) Yeah I write songs. I play a couple of instruments and sing a bit and produce aswell. I have a mini studio in my living room..well, which is actually my whole appartment, so basically I sleep around guitars, synths and music equipment. lol

Lol, I’m a unorthadox individual. Grey and cloudy, I think thats gonna be our whether for tomorrow. Its been surprisingly cool here for once, thank gawd, I was burning my arse off.

Grrr I got a safety meeting soon which is good for nothing more than a naptime. I was listening to Roy Orbison on the way to work this morning, thought about you right away, lol.

Oh yeah I forgot you guys call soccer football over there. But yeah I meant the other football with the helmets and all that.

Lol, yeah I guess its not hard to see somebody with a hobby like that working in that feild. Actually, I watch construction take place most of the time at my job, which isn’t too bad. I’d rather be at my own house tearing off roofs or sawing down trees, hehe.
