  You don’t have an idea how good you have it!! SCHOOL will become an asset and will open a world of opportunities for you. Before you make a move for ‘emancipation’ or leave your house or school, think about how do you want to live the rest of your life: Do you want to live under the poverty level in a job that you hate for the rest of your life or moving from job to job OR study as hard as you can now, and CHOOSE the life and job that you will live and provide for yourself and the people around you?   Chicago was one oldest centers for immigration in the United States during the 1800’s. Some of the largest groups from Europe and Asia have had a home there. Hispanics and African American have kept Chicago as a “salad bowl” for centuries. Good luck on your quest!

  Traveling has turned out the best education for my character and my personality that I could have ever received. The world is a very convulsionated place nowadays. I understand where he is coming from with his concerns and you should see his point of view. On the other hand, you should try to reassure him that the place or places you will be visiting are safe and secure. GO FOR IT! You are only young once and this is the time to learn and expand your mind. By the way …. where do you want to go? Wherever you go make sure you do this for yourself and your own personal growth and not for your friends. Do not keep up with the Jones. Good luck!
