  No it’s not dangerous, it might be slightly painful but it will soon stop. Read the wiki article for the full information. In some cultures or religions, it is important to keep the hymen intact to “prove” you are a virgin. This (as explained in the article) doesn’t always work, and in today’s day and age it’s not really of that much relevance.
  
  Me personally I refused to wear tampons due to the fact that I find them uncomfortable and strange, I’m worried about the risk of Toxic Shock Syndrome and I wanted to keep my hymen intact until the first time I had sex.
  
  I’m now still more comfortable with pads, but I’ll occasionally wear tampons if I can’t avoid going swimming.

  Your therapist doesn’t want to identify any “problems” but wants to see what your mind process is. It doesn’t matter what you make, they will ask you questions and you can talk them through it.
  
  Anything could be misconstrued! (S)he will ask you what you feel about what you have created.
  
  I would ask you to collaborate. Nothing bad will happen, you will just gain a better understanding of yourself, without necessarily having to find “problems”

  It also has a lot of other useful information about periods or anything else you may be worried about!
  
  Please remember that you should not use a tampon when you don’t have your period. Wear pantyliners if you’re not sure when your period is due, pads while you are on your period and tampons just before you’re about to go swimming. Remember to change it regularly! (They can all be bought in a supermarket or a chemist)
  
  Of course if you feel comfortable with a tampon you could wear it for every period instead of pads, but I suggest just using it for when necessary while you’re getting used to them.
  
  The other thing about using a tampon, it might break your hymen which will cause you to bleed more. Don’t worry about this though, it will stop after a few minutes.
  
  As for the pill, I don’t think it will delay it, though it might make it slightly more regular. Book an appointment with your nurse or doctor and tell them you are thinking of going on the pill and you would like some more information. They will be able to give you the best option for you.
