it depends a lot on the market you want to reach…and the type of music you play…

Maybe you should make some market investigation before doing anything..searching for what type of audience would hear to your music, and then try to see if it’s worth it…

If you make a bad investment you’ll end up losing money…

Thanks for the info. He is not trying to get into the singing business, he just has a talent for writing songs. It seems good, so, I encouraged him to find out where to submit it, and see what happened. We went the route of having a song recorded for another friend, that was really good, but, it ended up, that the man that did the recording was just doing it for the work it brought him. He strung this young man along, until there was no more money to be had, then, he just let it all drop. I suppose there has been an awful lot of hopefuls that ended up that way. I wish you the best with your efforts.

I don’t think I can. I’ve been pretty out of it and I’ve pretty much lost that ability. Sorry.
