I would also like to add that yes, there were religious persecutions and it was wrong for the Pope to allow it. However, this was more of a political move than religious.
These “knights” that did the killing under thane of the church were groups such as the former Vikings and other coverts who had been used to the killing without hesitance.

Eventually the Church issued two proclamations: “Peace of God”, and “Truce of God” that helped reduce the violence and keep peace, especially toward the innocents and later redirected their suppressed violence to the Middle East instead of it’s people, because keep in mind, killing felt all too natural for these knights.

Yes the church is at fault, the Pope during that time could have avoided all this. And yes the knights were wrongfully chosen to represent a religion. And yes, the church had allowed too much political influence for their decisions. However, even if the Pope was instead a rich Pagan lord that funded money to equip these wars, I wouldn’t think its the fault of Pagas in general.

From what I’ve learnt on History, during that age bloodshed was extremely common ever since the fall of Rome by the Goths. Christianity spread throughout the west long after, making the monasteries a safe haven for many, that also reserved lost knowledge that helped rebuild civilization later.
Apart from that, all the kingdoms during the medieval time were trying to expand their empire that spilled blood regardless if it was under the name of a religion or not. The holy war wasn’t any different, but people seem to love bringing it up to make it seem it was all religion’s fault when that is not the case.
By the end of that war, the crusaders brought back a huge amount of knowledge that helped led out of the dark ages and rebuild civilization.

You should look up info on “Charles the Hammer”. He was responsible for building the army that began a holy war. The Pope wasn’t for the war, but later changed his mind and gave the land and money requested, that Charles was almost excommunicated for earlier.

lol it’s cool. i like it :) my boss gave me the nickname giggles cuz i was always laughing while i worked :) literally couldn’t stop. there was like tears in my eyes and all i had to do to burst out was look at my coworker. i had loads of fun :P and i wrote :P all over the shop :) it’s my symbol

Oh I dont go to that church anymore. I moved back to illinois. and its whatever. she lied about her step father raping her and now shes in a pentecostal boarding school.but yea i dont even go to church anymore…i work on sundays a lot.

Junior Year, learning Game Engines, Menu making, and advanced vehicles and structures at the moment.

I think that is just a negative feeling you get after going through rough patches.
You just have to get some positive thinking going.
Everyone needs a friend, someone out there is probably feeling the same was as you and also wodering how to get out of the rut.

If you can’t afford to go back to school then what about jobs?
Sometimes you can meet quite interesting people in work places and actually gain some confidence.

What about a job that involves being trained up, like a brick layer, builder, hairdresser?
Etc, you would meet lots of people then and also get quite abit of a social life.

Could you enroll in some clubs or meetings?
