He does not go for training until Sept, which surprised us. We thought he would be would be going in June, which would have been nice. Maybe your paths would have crossed. He takes advice well so he will probably do just fine in Columbia. I am encouraged by knowing that your uncle had a good experience there. Thank you for telling me his story.
I hope your mission will prove to be rewarding for you and that you will return home with great stories to tell. I also hope you will keep in touch. I have changed my e-mail address, recently, so I am going to figure out how to make the new address available to you.
You are serving your missing in Nevada or is that where you go for training? My grandson’s mission is in Columbia. I am concerned about the drug related crimes in that country, but my grandson is fearless.
I am going to be sending letters and packages every week because I will miss him terribly while he is gone.
I am excited for you, Litte Iguana. Thanks for the shout.
Ha,ha. I have been away so long I forgot how to shout and sent it to myself. lol
I have not been checking in at help for a long time. I miss your posts, though. Thought you might like to know that my grandson has converted to LDS and will soon be headed out on his mission.
I suggest changing the password with something with letters and numbers the problem was solved when i did that and another user and try not to log out well, i’m afraid too lol
Hah, I suppose that’s true, and I guess I can say the same. But even though this place has gone downhill from what it once was, it’s still quite nice. So many great memories on this site :)
Jeez, that’s two years old too?! It really is crazy how fast time moves on this site. Even though I feel like I’ve been on here forever, I remember all of these things pretty clearly.
The honeymoon was pretty great, if I do say so myself :D One of the things I remember most was the music. Well, how loud it was anyway, and the fact it made me jump out of my chair, hah.
15 years old, wow. Not even old enough to drive, hah. Next year I’ll be a full-fledged adult O_O I’ll have real life responsibilities and everything.
Dang, I remember being 15, I messed myself up pretty bad back then. It wasn’t until about a year ago when I started to get better. I’ve figured out a lot about my life and life in general since then :)
And you being 17 back then, now I know what it’s like, hah. You’ve been around here a lot longer than I have though, so you’ve gotten to see this wonderful place grow up. I think you’re really lucky to have that experience :)
Has it really been that long?! Geez, I remember that day too well. The day I announced that I was Edward Scissorhands, and the lovely internet honeymoon to Ireland. Good times :D
How do you do that in the quotes, where you only quoted part of what i said in the ‘questions’ post?
I tried to do it with your reply but it didn’t work for me :(
Part of the atraction with seeing the grand canyon is getting there, i’d like to drive there, there’s something appealing about roads that just go on & on & on without any corners or other drivers, we don’t hav them in the uk, theres no parts of our country thats empty enough.
Theres soo many appealing things about the canyon, but, theres lots of things i want to see over there, so far, ive only crossed niagara falls off the list.
Things are pretty good. Work is slow due to the weather, but I am managing. Went out for lunch yesterday to celebrate my step-daughter’s birthday. Gave her $200 and my wife $150 and they spent the day shopping. A good time was had by all.
Day before I went to the gun range and shot $100 worth of bullets. Not working is actually a lot of fun, I just wish I could afford to do it all the time!
Hah, thanks! I’m glad people are still enjoying it, I would’ve thought everyone would be annoyed with it by now, lol.
(Sorry it took so long for me to reply, I’ve been a bit discombobulated lately.)
So glad to know that you are doing so well. You have always been a bright girl and one of my favorite helpers. What job are you doing and what classes are you taking now? You have my e-mail address, so even if you are not able to spend much time on help.com these days, I hope you will keep in touch.
Hi Hasta Iquana,
I just stopped in to see if anyone had heard from Courty because I saw the devestation in NZ, due to another huge earthquake.
How have you been?
Sometimes I wonder if I should meet you and talk to you; but the wondering fades like most wonderings do. Just now I was wondering if I should someday say Hi to you, and I idly looked at one of your posts, and it turns out I did say hi by changing your post tags to “hi”. See: http://help.com/post/340048-been-a-wh…
See, one thing is that the last two places I’ve lived is Colorado and with my aunt and uncle who I helped move from Arizona to New Jersey. Then I came back to colorado. Then they moved back to Arizona. Then people were talking about places they lived and you mentioned both of those and so it got into my memories.
hi, thanks for being on my friends list. I know it’s a sort of random thing, but sometimes when I see your avatar it reminds me of arizona and colorado springs and I like how it does that.
Lol, was just browsing your profile page to see who I’d made friends with and noticed you said something similar on a post to what I said a little while ago, about saying nothing if you’ve nothing good to say - didn’t realise it was Thumper from Bambi I was quoting!
Haha! Wonderful! :)
He was trying to make a Goodbye post but ended up insulting me and another user. Guess his anger got the best of him. I’m sure he’s around somewhere here
