Well, I don’t understand the stages bit, being sad for a week after meeting her. As for the pressuring bit, you said it already. If she is open to doing it and seems to want to, i don’t consider that pressuring her. As for the thought of her getting some boyfriend, I doubt you could stop that with out going out with her.

hmmm. Well. Your worries that dating will just eventually end, and make the relation never the same is probably right. but it could last with dating, or you may survive break up’s. Just as friends, it’s possible to drift apart. Maybe if you want to stretch this out long as you can, you can wait quite a bit longer until you date, but by then, you may have missed that important window where you were both feeling the same thing towards each other. Which would you rather be Adam, he friend, or something more?
